Is it possible to have a yeast infection with no symptoms...no burning, itching...all I have is a white discharge that is milky-which I thought was normal.
Anyone deal with a similar situation? If so, did you treat it? Are Monistat 7 creams safe to use?
Re: Yeast infection with no symptoms, possible?
I've had creamy white discharge, a more watery clear discharge with white flecks in it, and even a very thin -- almost watery -- cloudy discharge. All three are considered normal if there's no foul odor or any other symptoms of infection.
If you really do think you have an infection, I'd recommend having your doctor order a culture before you self-treat.

I had a recurring yeast infection for 7 weeks during 1st trimester, and after trying every natural and OTC product they make, I was prescribed Diflucan at 14 weeks. While it's controversial to some, the benefits far outweighed the risks for me, and it was cleared up in 1 day! I haven't had an issue since.
However, yes, it is very possible to have a yeast infection with no symptoms, but your milky discharge sounds like what I experience now, and I do not have a yeast infection. My midwife has said it's just normal "pregnancy discharge".
