My OB isnt the most informative or social of them and I do plan on switching asap but Ive seen a lot about 2nd trimester tests. What tests should I be asking about? Are all of them something I should do or is it based on family history and such? We go for our monthly visits but he hasnt discussed any of this with me yet, I feel very much so in the dark.

Re: 2nd trimester tests?
It is routine to do an anatomy scan at 18-22 weeks or so. They'll measure all the babies limbs and things and look at all the body parts. They'll also tell you the gender, if you want to know (and if they can see).
Then there is the glucose test at 28 weeks, to test for gestational diabetes.
Other than that, nothing special unless you're in a high risk category (over 35, history of birth defects, complications in this pregnancy, etc.) Depending on what's wrong with you or the baby, you could have anywhere from genetic counseling and blood testing to an amniocentesis.
