No theme for me! We're painting the walls a light blue/gray sort of color. Bedding will be navy blue, and we will have navy blue, orange and gray as accent colors around the room. We're painting on Saturday!!! Can't wait
I had the nursery set up before we found out the gender, so it's neutral - but I love it! I prefer the neutral colors anyway, they seem more relaxing to me than some of the gender specific bedding sets I've seen.
We have the John Lennon collection that Carter's did a few years ago (thank you, Craigslist!!) I painted some of the animals from the set on the walls and little by little I managed to get almost the entire set - quilt, knit blanket, diaper stacker, wall hanging, crib bumper, mobile, valance, rug. We're in great shape. My husband is really into woodworking so he's going to try to replicate the bookends (and build a book shelf.) The set has really cool, calm tones of green, yellow, purple, blue and pink. I wouldn't change a thing.

Well, we don't know the gender, but we went gender neutral and plan on reusing the same stuff. We did a soft Pooh theme. Originally I was really excited about it, then a little bummed that it is so traditional. The set had been clearanced out and both DH and I had some Pooh stuff we used, so it was fun to have some of our things in LOs room.
We are doing all the walls pink and then using an accent wall with a wall stencil. i think we will do two different pinks and also a glaze for the stencil and it will be the wall her crib will be up against. I am adding some black and white to the room also and all the furniture is white. I bought pictures from hobby lobby that have crowns and tiarras on them and have sayings like posh and princess. Also buying a pink shelf to display pictures on and we had some piggy banks made at simply pottery ( I did a cupcake and DH did a monkey ) not so much a theme but trying to make it a little more modern I am also hanging a white chandelier with pink and white crystals hanging down!

If we hadn't gone with John Lennon, we would've gone with Pooh Bear. BRU has a set that is almost too cute for words.

We are sharing our room with Ethan and we aren't allowed to paint the walls in our apartment (well, technically, we could, but we would have to repaint them before we moved out and it just seems dumb to do that since we're probably moving out in August). So we are going to have my mom do a few paintings we can hang near the crib - she has a Ganesha she's working on now.

We're not finding out but we are doing a jungle theme. I painted light green and the furniture is going to be natural wood. My mom is making the bedding and if it's a girl the bed skirt and curtains and stuff will be pink with green and aqua leaves that match the jungle print, if it's a boy the accents will be in green aqua and gold stripes. I'm pretty excited about it!
The main fabric will be the animals, and the walls will be the aqua color. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but I think it's cute for a little girl with the blueish color in there.
We are having a boy and doing a puppy nursery! Our Little boy will probably love it if he is anything like us! We our a little obsessed with our fur babies
We are going with an Owl theme and this bedding from Skip Hop. I've been looking for a "deal" on it, so I haven't bought it - starting to think there are NO deals! haha.
We're do a fairytale/dragon theme but very subtle, mostly in toys and artwork. Our bedding and main pieces are all very gender neutral, sage with white dots, crosshatch, etc (or white with sage). No bedding set or anything, doing all mix-and-match separates for the sheets and having a crib skirt made by a friend.

Not sure about the actual theme yet, but we are doing her room in hot pink, black and white. DD #1's room is green, pink and brown with a butterfly theme. It's super cute and very sweet. So, I'm going a little edgier this time around, to spice things up a bit!
I can't wait to find out what we are having so we can plan. I just haven't been "inspired" yet We kind of like the idea of monkeys if it's a boy, but have no ideas at all if it's a girl...
My DD had Winnie the Pooh (back in 1997), and I knew right away that was what I wanted; but I am stumped this go around..
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful ideas; I feel a small flicker brewing...LOL

Our theme is stempunk. We have dark furniture, the walls are this greyish green. Since the theme is somewhat 1900s we picked a color from the histoic list. My husband is very crafy and has some handcrafted modified guns with gears and weird technology we also have big gear wall art and some really cool prints we are getting framed. So far its coming together really nice, not your typical theme and not too kiddy, and a lil eccentric like us!
DH and I are big sports fans and having two boys, well it only seems natural that their room is sports themed The walls will be a neutral in the brown family with dark chocolate wood furniture and the bedding below. We're going to buy baby size jerseys, one Yankees (baseball) and one Giants (football), frame them and hang on the wall along with the saying "Born Together, Friends Forever" (not sure if this will be decals or a wood piece. Cant wait!

I found out we're having a girl last week and I have been dreaming of the nursery ever since. I put together this inspiration board with the theme that is shabby chic with a bit of a vintage vibe. My DH better start liking pink!
Juliet Katherine was born on 2/16/12 (4 weeks early) weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz. My blog, Eat Drink Pretty

We are doing a girl monkey theme. I don't think we are going to do much painting, the room already has a tan accent wall, but may just hang some things on the walls.
We do co sleeping till about 9 months. When we move the baby into the super mario themed boys room (by the time the next one moves over they will be 5 and 2), the bunk beds are fire engine red and we have the mario sky blue color on the walls with Blik wall stickers. If its a boy we have blue and yellow star sheets and if we have a girl we will do all light pink for princess peach

OMG no I just showed my husband and he said buy it lol. Also at gym. they have lil beanies that look like helmets so cute. My husband already bough some charger stuff for revan, boys really are fun!
We are having a boy and originally were all about the MONKEYS.. but the monkey ones were all jungle themed and not monkey specific enough for us ...lol... so we went with Dinosaurs
The Wolery from Winnie-the-Pooh. I wanted to do owls but wanted something different. So we are having a mural painted in black outline on the back wall of the wolery and having the vintage owl sitting on a limb. The rest of the room will be bookish and primary colors and the wall color is faded burlap. Oh I am using Caden Lane fabric to make the crib skirt and curtains.
This is the pinboard I've been working on. The walls are a medium grey and the dresser and crib are painted in a light grey. The Cloud 9 Coral Weed fabric will be the main fabric.
I'm late to the party but for Dean's nursery we are going with yellow and grey and an owl theme. I wanted to keep it gender neutral and not go to "boyish" with it. We are going to have dark wood furniture as well. I'm looking at, and loving, a lot of the wall decals on etsy. I don't want to paint anything besides plain colors on the walls, decals are just so much easier.
TTC #1 since April '11.- BFP 7/3/11! - EDD 3/13/12 - Dean born 3/15/12! - Lovely Labor Buddies with PsychGirl33!! </br>
We know the gender (not sharing yet) but I am a crafty/sewing person. So we are sewing our nursery items! I plan to do it all in December when I have a two week holiday vaca! My hubby wants to paint the walls, I told him if he could get it all done and it look nice, HAVE AT IT!!
We're having a girl, but we're not big on traditional over here, so we're going with light green walls, with a coral alcove where the crib will be. And since my husband and I are nerds, we decided our house needed a "sigil," so we picked red foxes, and we're kind of dotting the nursery with those, like this adorable Squishable:
We finally decided today! We are doing an owl theme. I found bedding that is colorful and has pink and teal owl. I love it. I don't want an overly pink room so we are thinking about painting the walls teal

Awww thanks!
It goes with the theme of sports/team. They are a team and we want them to know that from the moment they are born!
So not a nursery item but I saw this and had to buy it... You might like it too, I love the idea of framing jerseys as art!
