Nursery plans...For those that know the gender...

Re: Nursery plans...For those that know the gender...

  • We painted long before we found out the gender, so we went neutral. The walls are a greyish beige, and the "theme" is vintage fairytale/storybook. Essentially, I want it to feel like you walked into a Grimm tale...minus the gore. So, rustic elements, muted colors, natural textures, forest-y elements, and earthy tones. You can look at my pinboard here.

  • I really really wanted to do a lady bug room with grey walls and red, black and polka dot accents. I would have just ordered the bedding, not all of the extra stuff. But we still have all of DD's bedding and it doesn't make sense to not reuse her stuff when we are completely redoing another bedroom for her to move in to. Gotta save money!

She has dark furniture like this picture and we will paint the walls a tan color to coordinate. Kind of boring wall color but it is a small room and you don't see much of the walls. If this baby was a boy, we would have done grey walls, navy blue and red bedding from pottery barn, and a sports theme.
