Success after IF

Butter vs. Jam... obviously NSaiFR

What's the difference between strawberry butter and strawberry jam?  Ther is no actual butter in strawberry butter so what makes it a butter and not a jam?

  • I just looked it up. I guess it is a thicker consistency than jam.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • never heard of strawberry butter!  sounds delish!!

my mom makes apple butter..and strawberry jam...jam has stuff in it to gelatinize...while the apple butter is just cooked apples that bake forever and ever until it thickens and browns.  very different textures.

ETA:  I have no idea if strawberry butter is made the same way...just sharing...because I'm bored...you know how it is.  Stick out tongue

  • I know the consistency is different.  Jam is more jelly-ish and butter is thicker and more spreadable... more solid maybe?

I didn't realize that there was no actual butter in the apple butter/strawberry butter.

After THREE years, our IVF miracle is here!!!
