After my birth (a month ago today) I hemorrhaged and it was suspected that I was retaining placental membranes because mine were shredded and I had a fainting spell. After observation and futher exams, they decided I didn't have any more signs of the suspected retention of placental membranes. My placenta was intact but I just passed a "clot" the size of a kiwi. It looks fleshy to me like membranes rather than just blood. My bleeding isn't too heavy so I'm not worried about the being a late hemorrhage. I'm mostly worried about infection. From the information I was given on the effects of this, I could have infertility issues in the future. That scares me. I really don't want to go to the Dr. especially since I've already passed the thing and I'm not running a fever or feeling crampy. WWYD? Anyone experience this.

Re: Way TMI- Retained Placenta?
This! A kiwi sized clot does not sound like something to shrug off. Hopefully they can answer your concerns over the phone.
