If you were attaching a tail to a newborn...

I'm making R a dragon costume for Halloween out of a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I need to attach a tail to it, but I want it to be removable so I can put him in his carseat safely. Should I make an attatchment with velcro or just plan on safety pinning it? Or maybe a button...

Maybe you could make a little belt and attach it to that. Velcro seeks the safest but I'd be worried about it hold up.

DS was a giraffe last year. He had a velco tail. Note, I said HAD. It stuck for about 2 minutes before it fell off without fail. what about a safety pin?

Jack has a dinosaur costume w/ a velcro'd tail. I'm going to have to add more velcro or a button or something b/c it's a cheap store-bought deal and doesn't stick very well, but I think it'll work fine.

I say velcro. Buy a strong velcro and it should be fine.

They're easy and the tail will be removable and hold better (and safer) than a button.

what if you cut a little hole in the butt where you want the tail and safety pin/velcro the tail to the inside of the pants? that way it would stay put a little better
