DH and I are pretty sure this is our last baby but I'm not willing for either of us to make a permanent decision quite yet.  I will be getting Mirena again around 6 weeks PP.

Lots of Luck to all of 3T/IF
There is a possibility that we will want one more but not as soon as we got pregnant with #2. So I think I will go with Mirena. After DS we just used condoms up until he was 1 and then started trying again for baby #2. It took us a year to get pregnant the 2nd time so it was probably a good idea I didn't get Mirena the first time...I was considering it. If we have a 3rd we would want the space between #2 and #3 to be more like 4-5 years. So Mirena would be a good choice.

This all the way. BCPs are the only thing that keeps my PCOS symptoms hidden.
Not to be butting in, BUT make sure to ask your doctor about rejection rates (your body recognizing its foreign and attacking it), infection, and how the eggs naturally exit your body if its being blocked off, is that of concern?
Seems too easy and I'm a skeptic/nurse, hope it all works out!

Well I havent thought about it yet, we havent used any type of BC at all since getting married 6 years ago, but I hear after you have one it is easier to get knocked up again. I will have to do some kind of research because I dont want back to back children, I would like about a 2-3 year gap, DH wants 1-2 gap...
we still have somethings to decide here!
I was on the pill (quarterly periods only) for years and loved it! The best benefit was that it did away with my headaches that usually just came during my period.
This time, because I expect my schedule to be tougher, I'm planning on Mirena. I don't plan on having more kids, but haven't been able to talk DH into getting snipped.
Hadn't thought about it yet, but now I will! I was on the pill for 10 years, and got pg within 3 months of going off (m/c at 7 weeks) then got pg again a month later! So, since we want a little gap between LO's, we'll be doing something for sure!
FWIW, my SIL had a 10 month old when she got pg with her 2nd. Not planned, and that was right about the time she stopped BF'ing as well.

Not single and love my hubby, but I have done Nuva ring for years. LOVE IT! Super easy, and no pill all the time. I will start that again after lo arrives. We were off it a month when I conceived. I had been on some method of bc pills for over 10 years.
We actually are uncomfortable with any form of birth control other than charting/tracking/avoiding (not saying it's bad for everyone, just for us!) so we will probably just pick right up where we left off!
We'd been married for 2 years before I got pregnant, so I think we'll be able to continue with this method. :-)
We're planning on having more (at least one; maybe two), so it'll be back to charting and condoms for us! We want our kids to be spaced apart about 3yrs, so having a good BC plan is important to us.
After we're all done having kids, DH will get snipped. I may still continue to chart casually, so I know when to expect Aunt Flo!

Pregnant after 4 losses via IVF/FET with daughter "Gamma" (EDD Oct 2, 2019)
I'm planning on going back on the pill after this pregnancy (despite having gotten pregnant while on the pill this time. Lol).
We definitely want one more. Maybe two so I'm just going to assume that if I get pregnant while on the pill, it was meant to be.

Great Questions-- think I'm a little late in responding. . and honestly I don't really know all the options.
This is our first and we plan to have more. I was on the pill for 10 years prior to pregnanby and had my period every 3 months. Loved it!
What can you do for BC pill while you are breastfeeding? I'm not a fan of condom (niehter is the H), but I really am not educated enough about what else there is during that time period.
The pill (and any other kind of hormonal birth control method, for that matter) turns me into a psycho b!tch faster than you can say "gesundheit." I've tried every kind available over the course of several years, and nothing has worked - and left me feeling like a normal human being - so that's not an option for us. We both hate condoms, but don't know if we entirely trust ourselves with the pull-out-in-time method.
We're set on having just one kid, so we've started talking about the option of either tubal ligation or vasectomy. However, talking about that made us think about the horrible possibility of (heaven forbid) something happening to our dear little one in a few years. What then? We would probably want to try for another baby. The permanence of such a procedure scares me.

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

The mini pill is safe to take while you are BFing. It does not affect your milk supply.
