poop question

my son is bf with formula supplements(low weight gain)  he has been pretty regular.  autumnal colored seedy poops once a day. if he goes longer than 24 hrs, he usually poops 3xtimes in a row(3hrs time span)  we have switched formulas often as i am using all the samples we have gotten.  he tolerates this fine.  over the last 3 days we have had very stinky, darker poop.  today it was mushy(pb consistancy) and an ashy color.  any ideas??   waiting on the next one before checking with the pedi

    That sounds exactly like my LO's poop.  It is incredibly stinky.  I take it directly outside afterwards because it smells so bad.  I can't put it in the diaper champ because it stinks up the whole house.  It is the same consistency and color that you are describing.  She only goes once a day though, or even once every other day.  She is on Gerber Goodstart Gentle.
