funny story from last night

At night I always play with Owyn on his floor mat/gym and go from back kicking to tummy time and so forth. Well I had just flipped him from his back to tummy time when I saw a movement. His play mat is on his carpeted floor with a really thick blanket/rug underneath. Ofcouse I see this huge house spider not an inch from Owyn's and my head ....which I am deathly afraid of spiders. In less than 2 seconds I was on my feet with Owyn in my arms and screaming for DH from the door to kill the spider. Poor Owyn had no idea how he got from tummy time to up in the air so fast and why mommy was upset. LOL My husband pointed out that it was the rainy season and was just bad luck. Here I am imagining this nest of large spiders under the play mat. When will these pesky hormones come under control?!Tongue Tied

    Aww haha. I'm sorry that happened to you! I saw a spider right outside of our house and it looks huge and poisonous. Even though it's outside I'm afraid of it getting int he house.

    I would have freaked. Spiders terrify me! Glad your DH was home to rescue you!

    I started to run the water for a bath last night when I noticed a spider in the tub. I washed it down and ran back downstairs. I was too afraid to take a bath, because I thought it was going to swim back up and get me Embarrassed

    First bugs of any sort don't bother me but we live in a basement apartment and I keep finding creepy crawlers all the time. I just squish them and move on but I am worried about any bites DD might get.

    I was up for a 3am fussy spell and took LO downstairs in the semi-dark and managed to avoid stepping barefoot on a large spider in the middle of the rug.  Yuck!  And to have one right in your babe's face... ugh.

     LOL - Do hormones exaggerate the imagination? or just make for faster reflexes?
