Might be a dumb question..

For those of you who mix formula and put it in your refridgerator, how long is that good for? I am thinking about going to buy the Dr. Brown's Mixing Pitcher, but wasn't sure how long the formula actually lasts in the fridge. I'm sure LO will eat it before it has the chance to go bad anyway, but I'm just curious. TIA :)

    I think refridgerated formula is good for 24 hours after mixing ... but I could be wrong as we mix throughout the day.

    I always go with 1 day, but I've heard up to 2 in the fridge is ok.

    Pre-mixed formula lasts 48 hours in the refrigerator so I would assume that mixing it yourself would also last that long though I'm not really sure.

    I have always heard that it is 24 hours. I think it's much easier to mix throughout the day, LO drinks it room temp so doing it throughout the day keeps from having to heat bottles.

    I thought it was 48?  I've been doing 48 in the fridge.  He seems to take the powder better if we allow it to "de-foam"... Although the enfamil is much better than the similac for NOT having bubbles and foam...

    Surgery December 2013 to remove a 10+cm fibroid... Open myomectomy. Benched for 3-9 months...

    I keep a formula dispenser stocked and just put water in bottles. This way when LO is ready i just dispense one section of formula in the bottle shake let rest for a min or so and feed. Best part is its faster than warming.
