They're like... pajamas!
So, I took advantage of the Gap 30% off sale, and scored me some of those boot-cut jeans I'd seen many women rave about. I figured I'd have them around for that day when, BAM, I can't put on any pants (and $24 off regular price was a deal!). They came today, and I now understand why people love them. They are SO comfortable, and they're really cute! I wish they were a little shorter (I'm kind of between ankle & regular there), but yeah. I can tell already that I am going to live in these jeans. Now if only I could convince my boss that it's ok for pregnant women to wear jeans to work...
Re: Wow! Maternity jeans!
LOL. I bought some yesterday and I am wearing them right now. My regular work pants still button, but for some reason my regular jeans don't.
I haven't even gained a pound yet, but these pants are SO comfortable and you can't tell they're maternity! I told DH that they are going to be my Thanksgiving jeans forever.
Nice score on the jeans!
I love maternity pants. I still can fit into my regular pants, but maternity pants are just so much more comfortable with all this bloat!

That last part totally reminds me of that episode of friends with Phoebe's maternity pants... lol.
I haven't gained a pound yet either, but dang, my regular pants are uncomfortably tight!
They should. I'll be honest though. I haven't actually worn the jeans, I just tried them on. I spent the entire day in my pajamas. Luckily, I had evening dog-walking duty and could wait until it was dark enough to not have to change out of my pjs... Haha!
I impulse-bought my first pair of maternity jeans yesterday ($7 on the sale rack at Target!) and tried to wear them, but I can't figure out how they're supposed to stay up! They're the overbelly type, so maybe when I actually have a belly they will have something to hold them up, but for now I had to keep hitching them up every 5 minutes.
but yes, they ARE like pajamas
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I own a pair of As-Seen-On-TV Pajama Jeans, and I work them to work on Friday - ha

they should fit you like your normal pants everywhere else. the belly part shouldnt have to hold them up. you might need to go down a size.
also, OP...check out the GAPs boot cut slacks. they are just as awesome as the jeans. i lived in them at work for my first pregnancy. had three pair and just rotated. i am also in between regular length and petite. i ended up going with regular length because i wore them with work shoes/heels so the length ended up perfect.
