  • There are positives to every single birth month, and as others have said a healthy baby is most important, that said, as a May baby myself I am looking forward to sharing a birth month with LO.

  • I love the month of May.  It's my b-day month too.  Plus I love the fact I will get most of the summer months off for maternity leave!

  • I am very happy with May!  It is perfect - I am due with two weeks left of school, and my sub can very easily finish the year with my kids.  I won't have to use many of my sick days and I will have the entire summer off.  I couldn't have asked for better timing Smile

  • I am so relieved to not be pregnant during the summer.  I've dealt with being big during the summer twice, and there's really not much more miserable.

Based on my history, I probably will have this baby in April.  But either way, I'm just so relieved to not be pregnant during the summer again!!!!

  • I've had a lot of losses so I'll be happy with whatever month I get a take home baby. I would prefer not to have had a baby born in December or July but if that is how things would have worked out I would have been thrilled. Both months money is a little tight for us and I'd worry about affording more birthdays. December is SS birthday and Christmas. In July it's DS1, DS2, and my birthday. I guess if I could pick any month I would pick February since that is when I would be due if I hadn't had my last loss.

  • I'm really happy with May.  There are no other birthdays in May in either of our families and I'm glad I won't have to be pregnant during the sticky, humid summer.  I get migraines when the humidity is horrible and can't imagine a migraine and being uber pregnant.

It would also be nice to have off a chunk of the summer as we  are buying a house this winter and I picture everything to be happily hectic!

  • I'm happy with May because I won't have to be very pregnant in hot weather. Smile

  • I was a May kid ....and meh...I never minded being a May baby...

but!!! .....this baby is due like...ON MY BIRTHDAY!! My 30th birthday....hahaha

So its kinda funny....never met anyone else who had my birthday but now...I guess I will know someone...hahaha

  • I will take a baby born in any month.  Originally I have hoped for April or May..... of last year, then finally I got PG with a December baby.  Immediately I found a bunch of positives to December (pregnant parking during the holidays LOL) so I am sure I would with any month.  I just want my baby already.

May is perfect tho, I wont have to carry around a big belly during the hot summer months and will be able to take my newborn out running in the nice weather.  Also, MH was born in May and loves having a May birthday.

  • I've always wanted a spring baby! May is perfect. I was pregnant with DD during the summer last year and it felt like it was the hottest summer EVER. The a/c was my friend. I do think that having a Sept. baby and a May baby is perfect, too.

  • I LOVE the idea of May. As far as school where we live the May kids would be the oldest. Each school year starts with the age as of Jan.  So not too worried about that. And we actually picked May, we started trying when we did in hopes of May. We got lucky on our first shot :)
  • I'm happy with May for LO #2- my mom, grandpa, MIL, and niece are born in May. DD and I are August babies and I always loved having my b-day in the summer... guaranteed day off when you're little and every year is a fun pool party. I didn't mind being one of the younger kids- actually really liked it!

  • This baby is (tentatively) due on my oldest's 3rd birthday so I've had a late May baby before :) It was nice for her to be a newborn during the warmer months to get out and enjoy the fresh air and then she was a fun age for Halloween & Christmas. I'm looking forward to that again. Plus as an added bonus...you're not pregnant during the summer months!

  • Yes, May is great! A fall or winter baby you would really have to worry about germs and cold/flu season. And, not being pregnant in the summer is amazing, ds was born late April an I was so comfortBle temperature wise my whole pregnancy. The only downside I can see to May is always having college finals near your bday (my sister is a may baby and this happened to her.) spring is so pretty though, think of all the flowers in bloom!

  • Timing could not be better! I'm a teacher, so this means I get to miss the end of the school year, which is the worst time of year anyways ;-) Also, my hubby is a teacher, too, which means we'll get three months together with the new baby. I also think it will be nice in terms of getting back in shape. Once I'm done with recovery, I should still have four to six weeks to jump start my exercise routine before the new school year starts.

Aside from the teaching schedule, we're all completely circumventing being pregnant during those hot summer months. From what I've heard, it's really miserable, so I can't say I'm sad to miss out on that!

  • DS was born Sept. 13th and I LOVED it. He was too little to go outside to play anyways. So, when spring came around he was the perfect age to explore/crawl around in the grass.

I preferred to have a baby in October because i love the fall, plus there are no birthdays in Oct. for my family.

May is perfect timing though since I'm a college student. School will be done May 15th and I'm due May 20th. So, I'll have the summer off for school except one online class. Then right back to school in August.

However, SO b-day is May 14th, Mine is May 30th, My paternal grandpa is May 7th, Maternal grandpa is May 12th, so May is VERY hectic for us. Along with our Anniversary in April. I just hope DS isn't feeling left out. Hopefully future baby #3 will be in the fall with DS. Since mommy, daddy, and LO#2 will have to have a group birthday celebration. :(

  • My birthday is Sept 19th and our cut off was Sept 1. My cousin is 6 weeks older than me and growing up we still were able to hang out. But I must say it was nice being the oldest instead of the youngest like she was. I got to drive sooner than everyone else and had all those perks.
