Jumping over from 12-24 but I was wondering where your toddlers sleep when you travel to either a hotel or stay with family and friends. We just moved DD to a toddler bed and I now realize we have some short trips coming up and I don't know where she will sleep. What do you do?

Re: Sleeping arrangements for toddlers while traveling
We'll be staying in a hotel when we go out of state to visit family. DD will probably be back in the hotel room crib for those few days. If we were staying with family, we would borrow their pack n play.
We switched DD to a toddler bed in January. We've done a bunch of trips since then:
1. slept in a regular crib
2. DH converted a crib to a toddler/day bed
3. Slept btwn DH & I in a king bed (just one night)
4. Slept on a pull out sofa bed with chairs and cushions as a barrier
She also has a nap mat from daycare - when she stays at my parents' house, she usually sleeps on that.

We always request a PNP and bring our own sheets. But she never sleeps in it, she sleeps between us in a King bed. However, if we get a suite we could put the PNP out there for her to sleep. DH doesn't like for her to fuss/cry for 3 seconds because it could bother people in nearby rooms so it's usually just easier for her to sleep with us. If we're in a room with 2 double beds for some reason, one of us sleeps with her -- bed is way to small for all three of us and mama doesn't sleep well with kicks in the face at night!
She never sleeps with us at home so this takes some adjusting for sure! We lay her down awake in her crib and she falls asleep on her own. I think in a few months we'd be open to trying her in her own bed at a hotel...but not just yet.
