Attaching changing pad to a dresser?

So I am looking at dressers instead of a changing table. I need the storage and want the long term use. However if I don't' buy a dresser that has some kind of trim around the top do I have to worry about the changing pad being attached? My DS had something around all sides so this was not a concern.

It comes with a strap that you nail to the back of the dresser.

You can also build a rim to put around the top of the dresser with the changing pas. that is what we are doing.

We used the attached straps and nailed them into the back of the dresser on the beams so there aren't nails sticking through the drawers. It doesn't move. I know other people have just put anti-slip matting underneath it.

Like PP said, we bought one that came with screws that go into the back of the dresser and attaches to the changing pad with snaps.

Ours has anti slip grips on the bottom. We aren't nailing them. The LO is not goign to be alone on it...EVER...so I'm not that worried.

I've never strapped, nailed, or applied non-slip stuff to a changing pad before. None of my kids have ever slipped off the dresser... lol.

We nailed the strap to the back of the dresser. It has a soft bottom so it doesn't ruin the dresser surface and if that thing wasn't nailed down my DD would have flown off the dresser. I still use it and she is a fighter for diaper and clothes changes.
