Gabe's DC teacher called and left a message at the house. Apparently he fell down the "plastic steps" this morning on the way to the playground (there is a half flight of steps at the front of the daycare, I don't know if she means these or other ones, nor do I know how far he fell). He didn't appear to have hit his head, didn't cry, responded to her when she asked him if he was ok. Later on the playground, he was on a plastic climbing structure and suddenly fell backwards and landed on his butt on the ground. He cried, she comforted him and when he stood up he was very wobbly. He went to climb back up and his right leg wobbled like it was going to hold his weight. She immediately picked him up, checked him from head to toe and couldn't find a thing wrong with him. He said his foot hurt but was fine when she took his shoe off and put it back on. Since then, he has not fallen again, is acting normally, bearing weight on both legs, but she said seems to just be a little "off-balance".
He's currently napping. Oh and FWIW, he is pretty well coordinated and very careful about climbing things. I've never seen him fall from a raised surface. I'm going to call and find out how far he fell the first time, but WWBOTBD? Should I take him to the pedi? Urgent care? Leave him there?

I just spoke to DH and this is what we're going to do. He is going to call DCP and let them know if she sees anything else that is "off" after nap to call DH and DH will take him to the pedi.
Oh and apparently, there are 3 plastic steps down from the larger playscape-thingy on the playground and that is what he fell from the first time.
