XP: Well written FB rebuttal to the Breast Cancer thing

I found this on a friend's wall and thought it was very well written. I reposted. Feel free to repost as well if you're comfortable.

I know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but it is also Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. The chain-mail status "I'm __ weeks and craving ___ " is a painful reminder for those who have lost and those struggling through infertility. Perhaps a different, more-relevant-to-breast-cancer status for Breast Cancer Awareness month can be considered. ? Repost if you agree ?

    Jennifer TTC #1 Dx PCOS 2009 Apr, Aug, and Sept tried clomid cycles.... BFN. Oct...DH SA results were normal. Me...HSG - left tube was clear, right tube was slightly blocked. Dec - Clomid #4 200mg Feb 2010 - IUI #1 200mg Clomid = BFN. June 2010 - IUI #2 200mg Clomid = BFN. March 2011 - IUI #3 w/ injectables = BFN (1st & last with RE, moving on to IVF). July 2011 - consult for IVF. Sept 2011, 1st IVF. Got our BFP on 10/2/11. Became a mom on 5/5/12 to a beautiful baby boy! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers

    B born 1/3/2012. Adoption finalized 12/27/12

    2/06 - surprise pregnancy - twins
    3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks 
    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!
    It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

    I agree. I am so sick of this cr@p and not just because of the implications of the current FB status but just in general. Why not just say "October is break cancer awareness month so go be aware." It's just stupid. What sucks the most if that most women are not open about their IF struggle and so have to sit here and read this with their mouths shut instead of posting an awesome rebuttal. Ugh.
    Me: 31, Dx: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, Elevated AMH of 18 DH: 34 & borderline morphology issues IUI#1/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = Mild OHSS & BFN IUI#2/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = BFN IVF#1 converted to FET due to moderate OHSS 21 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 11 fertilized 7 frosties, 6 genetically normal December 5th FET with one perfect blast = BFN FET #2 = early February

    One of my friends posted, "if everyone playing this silly game donated just $1 to breast cancer research, this would be infinitely more effective." another posted a link to a very well-written blog. I'll try to copy and paste it here. These games are SO stupid, bit this one is just hurtful.
    Me: 30, Dx Unexplained/hypothalamic amenorrhea
    DH: 31, normal!
    April/May 2011: Menopur + Ovidrel +TI = BFN
    Oct 2011: Menopur + Hcg +IUI = BFP!
    Beta #1 (13dpiui)= 129.7, Beta #2 (15 dpiui)= 305
