Babies on the Brain

Lets not get started on the other idiots allowing their children to "splash and swim" in f

WTF!?  Do they not know the kids can get swept away or hit with debris?  What about the chemicals floating around?

People are stupid and  are making me angry today.

  • I saw a blogger who was letting their dog walk in shallow flood water. In my opinion that is just as bad.

    People are so dumb.

  • Were the kids at least wearing floaties?

I love dogs as much as the next person. If my dog got washed away or hurt I would be hurt,  If my kid washed away or got hurt I would probably have to me medicated for the rest of my life.  I think it is a little worse IMO to let children play in the water.

    But yes, people are dumb.

Come the fvck on.  They are playing in rushing flood waters.  It is obvious the parents aren't working with a full deck.  Why would they think to put on life vest or floaties?

I'm not saying that letting your kid play in the water isn't bad. I'm just saying it is just as stupid to let your pet into. Especially because then your pet tracks whatever they got into in that water into your house. I'd say it is just as stupid to get into that water yourself.

My dog is "my kid" basically so I'm a little over protective of him, I realize. But I'm just saying people are dumb.

Oh, no I got that.  I was just rambling about my feelings.  Sorry for the miscommunication.

No biggie. I totally understand. At any rate they are all idiots. It just bugged me to see this tiny little dog walking through the water for all the reasons you mentioned. I hadn't seen any images of kids yet but I know those images always annoy me - you get those a lot around here when we have flooding. People just think "oh look water!" or something. Again, idiots.

    Not really.

  • Now they are showing people biking in the water.

  • Yeah, when we were kids (did I just say that?) my parents were crystal clear on why we were not allowed under any circumstances to play in flood waters. It doesn't seem to me that it would be hard for any reasonable adult to grasp why this is dangerous.

  • I saw pictures yesterday of people with their whole families out on the piers watching the hurricane come in with 60+ mph sustained winds.

While the loss of life is tragic, I don't feel that bad for the people who knowingly put themselves into that danger for no damn good reason.
