We are SO broke right now... I mean broke.. Like is my account was negative this past week (now that i'm back to work things will change) but I just ordered ANOTHER bow for Avery. These packages keep coming in for her and DH is like what did you order now?? I keep playing it of like I ordered them awhile ago and they are just now coming in. I really need to stop.
Edit: I want to clarify that my child has everything she NEEDS before anything else. We just don't have extra money to spend freely right now.

I was laid off while on maternity leave and my friends and family keep saying to me "why are you looking for another job already? Why don't you just take some time off and spend it with the baby?". #1- They make me feel like a bad mom for wanting to work. I was on bed rest from February, if I do not start getting out of the house more and have some adult interaction, I am going to lose my mind. #2- Unemployment is less than 40% of my regular salary. I do not want to be broke, I do not want to live paycheck to paycheck. Grrrrrr.....I just want to work!!! Is that really such a bad thing?
I haven't bought my LO any hairbands or bows yet. I feel like a bad mom! What are good places to get them?
My FFFC is similar, though. I feel like I'm doing too much online shopping staying at home all the time while on leave... last week some music for LO for play time and a nursing top for me, today a mobile for her crib... nothing terribly extravagant, but stuff we could certainly do without. We can afford it, and I'm not hiding it from DH (and I'm the primary breadwinner too!) but I still feel guilty for my needless consumerism.
I don't want my MIL to carry DD around. She had a stroke when DH was younger and lost a lot of muscle tone and she claims to know her limits, but I would feel more comfortable if she would just sit down and hold her.

This girl Jen is amazing. Her prices are sooo cheap and 10% of all of her sales goes to Breast Cancer. She will make you anything. She is currently making my daughters mermaid costume... so stoked!
Someone on here suggested Luxy Bows on facebook.I loved her stuff!!! I ordered from her but almost all of the stuff isn't available to buy so that turned me off.

I don't always wash my hands after changing LO's diaper.
I don't either.
I'm all about communicating with your spouse, but I gave up trying to explain why I don't want ds getting a soother all the time and hid it from dh. I told him I must have dropped it while we were out one day.
Actually I have another one. C has a raised hemangioma about the size of a dime on her head. I can't wait for her hair to grow and cover it up. I feel so superficial.
I would probably feel the same way, but your little girl is SO beautiful that you don't notice. She really is such a pretty girl. I love her face.

I am all about bows and girly stuff for A (hello, see siggy), but some moms take it to the extremes even for me. We went to Sea World this weekend. My number 1 priority was keeping A cool, and I was fully prepared to leave if she ever felt too hot (luckily, the matt we got and ice packs worked great!) She spent most of her time either naked or in her swim suit laying in her stroller with a cool mat underneath her. So here is my FFC: I so judged other moms who had their baby girls decked out in tutus and huge bows! One mom even had her 2ish year old in leggings. I'm sorry, but it was over 100 degrees outside. That was just ridiculous!
I'm another one who doesn't always wash my hands after a diaper change.
<Raises hand.> Me too. Almost always after a #2 (because it's rare I can change her without getting any on my hand, it gets EVERYWHERE and my #1 concern is keeping her hands and feet out of it!), but not always after a #1 if I'm able to just keep my hand on the wipe and not get anything on me.
I spilled a glass of water on DHs brand new laptop (has hadnit for 2 weeks) last night and it stopped working. He was very upset because he needs that to do design work and get a portfolio together to get a new job. So this morning I took it back to the store today and told them "the keyboard stopped working" ad they gave me an even exchange for a new one.

This is me too. Although since M more or less poops every other day, there is usually 1 big one on "poop day" that usually ends in me just holding her bottom over the bathroom sink and splashing her clean. The smaller poops I change her like normal but don't usually get out unscathed, lol. Some days I'm changing pee diapers pretty often- my hands would be raw from all that washing!

Did you contact her? I found there was nothing on her etsy site and it was hard to find stuff on her facebook so I just emailed back and forth with her about what I wanted and she made it for me. She does need a better storefront, but her bows are great!

I did e-mail her, but I am just too impatient lol. It took her 2 days to get back to me. I shop too much on an impulse to wait. I ordered a bow she had in stock. I really wanted a bow she had made last year (i agree her work is amazing) but she said she would only make it if she had stuff in stock for it and that she would check. I emailed her back after 2 days and told her nevermind. I think I just got spoiled at Bows For Boobies because she gets back to you within the hour.

oh yeah, that's too much effort when there are too many other sellers that are quick to work with!
I also steal her hairbows and wear them in my hair...
wahaha. I was embarrased that I've done this. See that bow in my siggy? Yeah, I wore that to a bachelorette party and got a lap dance while wearing it!
now my other confession...I don't always use the "baby safe" detergent on F's clothes. Gasp! I accidently poured Arm and Hammer in one time and she had no reaction so I've used it a few times since. Ha. Not juicy.
I can't really think of anything good right now, sorry.
We are going to my grandma's 90th birthday party tomorrow and I don't want to go, I'm only going for my dad. She never was a grandma to me or my sister/cousins. She was very mean and showed no affection to us and I always felt awkward around her. I feel bad saying it since she is my only grand parent alive but its the truth. I saw her about a month ago at my cousins grad party, it was the 1 st time she had seen LO and she looked at him for 5 sec and walked away, never asked to hold him or have a pic taken with him and left without saying goodbye.

I use regular tide... I used the baby safe stuff for initial cleanings but after I discovered LO had no reaction to tide I just went back to using it for everything.

We didn't bother buying more free and clear after the first bottle. We were in the store, and as I reached for it, dh admits he'd been using scented dryer sheets for 2 weeks. I just hadn't noticed because it smelled similar to his baby wash. We both prefer tide original, so that's what we use now.
A has reflux. I asked if there was anything else besides a perscription that we could try first. The pedi said since we have no issues with constipation that we could put 1tsp of rice cereal when we give him bottles. I decided I would rather give him cereal early than put him on a perscription. It has surprisingly helped alot

I'm so glad I don't have a girl...I'd go nuts spending money on clothes and accessories for her b/c I have no self control.
My FFFC - If I have nowhere to go, I spend most of my day in bed, in my pajamas, and I don't bother showering (unless it's been like 2 days, then I just start to feel gross and will shower, but not bother washing my hair). Of course I'm spending time with LO also, but we play, talk, nurse, and then he'll nap on me in bed. A few times a day, we do floortime/tummy-time on his playmat. I have started putting him down in his crib for 1-2 naps per day, but right now he's in his crib, and I'm still in bed, b/c all my stuff is in here (which is mostly why we spend so much time in here, I don't want to bring my boppy, laptop, water bottle, etc downstairs and back up again each day.
Also, DH and I haven't slept in the same bed since I was about 15 weeks pregnant. DH is still sleeping in the nursery on the extra bed in there. LO is sleeping in his RNP next to the bed in the master bedroom. We are working on the transition to his crib, but frankly I'm in no hurry b/c I love having him with me, and I love having silence while I sleep (DH snores like a train, which is what got him put in the other room while I was pregnant...now he's in there so he can sleep, since he has to get up and go to work).
The only bad thing I can think of is that all I ate yesterday was 3 whole wheat tortillas with nutella -- surprisingly good together. I really didn't have time to cook. I was also in a bad mood for no real reason, except for sleep deprivation....totally normal for a new mom, 'though. FI has been trying to help me get sleep. Seriously am not a nap person. I lay there in utter exhaustion, but sleep escapes me
I don't wash my hands after every change. If you do not get anything icky on your hands, then why? Also, we have hand sanitizer everywhere... my poor hands get so so so dry. We keep it clean

I think giant bows and headbands look silly. Sorry guys
Edit - But I do think your LOs are all super cute still!
I used to think the same thing!! I always said I would never put LO in big bows...
The huge flower in my siggy was specifically for the picture. The old me would have hated it.. I don't know what happened. She has all sizes though and I love them all!! It's so addicting! I wont buy myself new shoes but I will buy her a million bows!

Also, I do not pump and dump if I have a drink. I never have more than 1 drink, so I dont think it is a big deal
I've been told by multiple sources now (including 2 LC, our pedi and my OBGYN) that breast milk alcohol content and blood alcohol content are the same. If you are OK to drive, you are OK to breastfeed.
