I received FOUR infant robes at my shower. I don't think they're very practical, but can see why people buy them - they are adorable! Even DH commented on how cute they were in the store. I also received a space saver high chair that I had registered for but then removed from the registry b/c I realized it wouldn't fit in our chairs.
So... I'm hoping to return all of these to BRU (where they were bought) for store credit. The problem is that I don't have gift receipts and they were not on my registry. Do you think they'll give me store credit?
For the high chair, I do have the packing slip as it was ordered online, but it says that if I return it through the mail, the money will just go back on the purchaser's credit card if it was a gift. WTF? That makes no sense. Do you think I could get away with returning it to the store?
Just wondering if anyone else has been able to return in a similar situation. TIA!!!
Re: BRU return policy
This is what I would do. I haven't done it at BRU, but I've done it at Target. Just add to your registry and mark it as purchased.
I've returned non-registry items to BRU without a receipt (or tags) with no problems!
