how many kids?

Re: how many kids?

  • I want 4 but my MIL thinks I'm crazy and that I will stop after 2 (like she did). I wonder how much more difficult does it get. Share share!

It's difficult some nights but I actually found the transition from 0-1 harder than adding another.

DH and I are both the oldest of four, so that feels like a normal family size to us, but our little ecofriendly hearts think that two is the maximum ethical number in terms of global population... We'll probably compromise at three.
Have you ever been to Montana or Wyoming? Trust me, there's enough space for everyone.

  • @sandraynic Going to two was WAY WAY harder than I expected, but it hasn't stopped me from wanting one more.
I wouldn't mind having 2 but I'm sooooo scared of this! I feel like I can barely handle my 1.

  • I change my mind every other day about wanting another. I always said I wanted 2, but I am thinking more and more about being done. IF I had another... I would DEF be done at 2.
  • I have 5 and done with 5:).
  • I'm on the fence still.... Two for sure, maybe a third. Dh is on board for whatever I decide. He's recently started talking to Lily about her younger brother and younger sister which is cute.
  • I've talked a lot about how gigantic DH's family is- he's the youngest of 8 and we have 20 nieces and nephews and he has 52 first cousins, most of whom (who? @lelo2006 would it be who or whom?) have 6 to 10 children APIECE. One has had 10 children in 12 years (1 set of twins in there). Anyways. So DH used to want 6 kids. Then we had our sweet stinker DS who we felt like was more work as a newborn than 10 kids combined and we decided 3-4 would be our max.

I could not do labor 6 times. Nope nope nope.

    You're right; whom :)
  • Probably 2. I always said 2-3. Dh said two is enough. But we want to wait a few years before number 2.

  • I have 3. I thought I would be done but after considering it Liam will practically be only child since my other 2 are older so, we are going for 4.
See this is what I kept going back and forth on.  If I could afford to stay home, I would want one more so Grey has someone close to his age.

H actually asked me on V day if we could have one more. I almost passed out.  This is NOT something I ever thought he would say. lol   We just can't afford it.  Also being away from the baby all day and all the pumping/nursing issues I had this last time-- I just don't think I can.  It makes me kind of sad to think we're done.

BTW, if I answered this two months ago I just would have said "Hell NO".
  • I really want two bio kids and to adopt at least one (if not more).  DH wants to be OAD.  I'm waiting until DS is one to see if I can change his mind.
  • I voted for 3 because that's how many I want, but DH only wants 2. I think I may be able to convince him to have 3 though, especially if the next one ends up being a little boy too. I've always told him I want one of each, but now that C is here, honestly I could end up with all boys and be happy with that too. I'm just not going to tell DH that.
Me too! I also wanted a girl and a boy (at least) but now with G I know I can have only boys and be perfectly happy haha

I have five and to be honest I'm happy with 5. I'm pretty sure I'm done :)
I'd love to have 5!! sounds like so much work but i like big families. MH wants 2... compromise at 3 or 4 hopefully!
