So Ive seen the bump pics and some people are just so HUGE but its sooooo cute!!! It never really bothered me because I always thought, as long as baby is healthy and growing it doesnt matter what I look like. Im 21 weeks and my belly looks like some of the 14 weekers at most and I just look extra extra pudgy is anything. I think this is mostly cuz im a larger girl so its taking a lot more to show cuz of my already existing belly (im a size 16-18). Lately when people ask how far along I am and I say 21 weeks they do a double take, stare and my belly and say.. "Wow.. you dont even look pregnant!". This has happened numerous times and its starting to hurt my feelings. Maybe its my pregnancy hormones but I feel like im missing out. So sad ![]()
pic taken today (sorry its big)

Re: Sick of people commenting how "un-pregnant" I look! PIP
We will look pregnant in our own good time. Just smile when you see yourself in the mirror because YOU can tell!
BFP #2 - MC Aug 2012 - D&C w/ complications
Other than to my husband, no one else has noticed I look pregnant, even when I wear a maternity dress. I'm still offered wine and alcohol at parties, wineries, and restaurants. When I was scanning stuff for my registry, customers came up to me asking for help -- they thought I worked there, not that I was getting stuff for myself in the baby aisle!
I was a size 6-8 before.

My Ovulation Chart
ack! I feel your pain. I'm still waiting to pop. I just feel fat. What's worse...there is a very limited supply of plus size maternity clothes available for me to even feel pregnant on the outside. I've resorted to giant t-shirts and whatever I can squeeze into that's already hanging in my closet. I don't feel cute at all....just fat.
Hang in there. With my son I would swear that one morning I woke up to a big belly. It happened literally over night. Then I turned into a house and everyone swore I had twins on the way.
It's coming.
I was a 16-18 before I got pregnant and I am in the same boat. Even my husband thinks I should be bigger. I just figure I have alot of room for the baby to hide.
Don't let it bother you too much, you'll be showing by the end. (at least this is what I keep telling myself)
Well if it makes you feel better, I think you look bigger than what I picture 21 weeks to look like.
This is my third and I'm still sleeping on my belly, but its bigger than it has been w/ the other two. I feel huge, but nobody has asked me if Im pregnant, so who knows
If I were you Id enjoy it. The huge stage is not fun and I'd hate to have one of those giant bellies for 5+ months. So uncomfortable!
awwwww. I feel for you. I didn't show with my other two.. AT ALL... which with my first (I was 18) wasn't a huge deal, with my second - something I longed for, and never achieved.. and now with my third... again, something I am really hoping for. I have never had that belly, or anything even remotely close.
I have never bought maternity clothes... which seems ridiculous - seeing as this is the third human life that I have grown in my body.
This time around I have more of a belly than I did with the other two... but it is really not much to look at. I have been able to sleep on my belly through all of my pregnancies... my friends that have seen my previous pathetic bellies have been "supportive" (if you can call it that) - and said things like "maybe you'll have a baby belly this time".
I was feeling kinda like I had a bit of a belly until my mother said to me yesterday "well you haven't even popped yet" - so I guess I just look like I have a gut ALL the time then?
I'd post a picture - but I don't know how... sorry.. I'm a newbie....
I'm with you, I get the same comments all.the.time!! I even asked my doctor about it.
I guess I'm just glad I'm not overly huge yet.
Check. I posted my belly pics yesterday-from my 1st pregnancy and this one. I'm about 1/2 the size this time-started off at the same weight as well. Right now I just look like I may have 5 lbs left over from my 1st pregnancy and I get the "you're so tiny!" comments when I tell people I'm 19 weeks. I got a few of those with my first pregnancy as well around 22 weeks, but I had a far bigger bump with that pregancy than I do now.
Personally, I just say "thanks" and move on. I guess I would rather be told I look tiny than huge....
