Those with yeti feet, come on in...

Has anyone else been having this problem?

Within the last 3 weeks or so, I swear to Kevin Costner my feet have grown at least two sizes. At first I thought it was the heatwave making my feet swell, but my feet themselves aren't puffed up and my toes are hanging over the top edge of all my sandles. Is it just the swelling or is it in fact possible that my feet are going through a pregnancy growth spurt? I am mourning the potential loss of some of my favorite pairs due to these gargantuan toes, so 2nd timers - do they shrink back to normal post-baby?

  • I am not a 2nd timer, but I have had 3 friends that have recently had babies with the same issues as you... Hate to say it but their feet didn't shrink. I have gargantuan feet to begin with (size 10.5 to 11) so I hope to god that I don't ever get this particular symptom!

  • I just had to loosen the laces on my sneakers today and had to buy a size up for flip flops last week.  I feel your pain.

  • I am definitely up one shoe size from pre-preg.  I am also thinking that my feet are now going to be wider! YAY!  Stick out tongue I already had a hard time with regular size 9 shoes being wide enough, now I am going to have to find 10 wide!  Ugg!

  • I've moved up from a 10-10.5 to an 11... hopefully it stops there!

  • This is my third pregnancy. With my first, I went from an 8 1/2 to a 9, with my second I went from a 9 to 9 1/2. So far they haven't changed this pregnancy, but it really does happen due to the ligaments loosening.  (Sadly, mine never went back...my "babies" are 6 & 8 now)

  • My feet grew with my second pregnancy but shrunk back down afterward.  I went up to a 6.5 with my second pregnancy and back down to a 5.5-6 within a year of having her.  My feet are swelling again but haven't gone up a size quite yet but wouldn't dream of trying to squeeze into my 5.5's!
