I apologize weekly to my mom for being a pain to her....I just wish I would have realized it sooner.
5 years ago - Living in our condo in the city, working a lot, and hosting a lot of fancy summer associate lunches and dinners (on the office dime of course) which I loved because we got to try every fancy restaurant in the city.
10 years ago - Just graduated college and was living in the city in an apartment with my best friend and her fiance (now husband), going out to crappy bars pretty much every night of the week and working at my mom's law office as a "paralegal" (I was mostly the receptionist).
15 years ago - Summer between junior and senior year of high school. I think I worked at Blockbuster that summer and almost every night my friends and I would get drunk at my house and watch the Doors movie.
5 years ago - married for two years; overworked, underpaid, and unhappy at my job; thinking about ditching the BCP to start TTC
10 years ago - living on my own in the big city, soon to go back to school, and just about to meet my future DH
15 years ago - had just graduated high school and broken up with my boyfriend, was looking unsuccessfully for a summer job
We don't even talk about it much! I don't know what happened but, when I turned 16 I just got my act together, it was almost cold turkey. I was really good before that time and after that time. I was very disgruntle about moving... The drama of teen life

Ten years ago: I was living at home. My mom was starting to get really sick from pancreatic cancer. She died in January 2002.
Fifteen years ago: I was writing my first article that was to be published in a NYC newspaper. Also, I was breaking up with my boyfriend (for the second time) who I thought was 'the one.'

5 years ago - Getting ready for our wedding - 9/9/06
10 years ago - I had just sold a dance studio that I opened right after college. I was getting ready to move and start grad school. I also was in a community theatre production of Anything Goes that summer that I bascially did because my best friend was in it as well. We drank almost every night after rehearsal.
15 years ago - I had just graduated from college and opened the dance studio mentioned above. I was living with my oldest brother and his family, who I'm very close to. I opened the studio in the town they lived in and they were a great source of support for me.
5 years ago - I was a newlywed and about to start my first year of teaching here in GA. We had just gotten back from our honeymoon and I was probably busy opening wedding gifts and writing thank you notes.
10 years ago - I was in college at Clemson studying to be a teacher. I was also getting ready to compete the following year in Miss SC.
15 years ago - I was getting ready to start my freshman year high school.

5 years ago - We had just moved into the house we live in now and I had just ditched the BCP so we could start TTC.

Hmm, 5 years ago I had been trying to have a baby for about 9 months and was starting to get stressed about it.
