Anyone ever had a Pain Ball?

I met a woman at a birthday party who was telling me that she had this after having a hysterectomy and her incision was just like that of a c section.  She said that she felt wonderful, no pain, and was up and around in no time!

I asked my OB yesterday if he was familiar with this type of pain management after a c/s and he was not.  He is an excellent Dr. and very on top of the latest tecniques so I was kind of suprised, but while I was getting ready for my Strep B test, he went to his office, looked the pain ball up and printed the info out.  I'm hoping that I may be a candidate for this as I always experience A LOT of pain after a c/s.

Has anyone tried this and what was your experience?

  • They tend to do these for more invasive surgeries. I've not seen them used for csections.

  • I dont' know if you've had a c/s before, but in my case (I've had 2) I can say that they are pretty ding dang darn invasive!  lol

I'm not sure if the article is showing up, but the article did say that they were good for c/s.  We'll see what my OB says...
