My husband loves the name Cooper for our baby if it's a boy, he's even started refering to the baby as Coop at times. I was totally against the name at first but am slowly, very slowly, coming to (sort of) like it. I originally liked names like Henry, Edward, Oliver, but thought maybe Cooper J (a middle name that starts with J) might be fun. We could call him Coop of CJ? I'm still not sure though. I had never even thought of the name Cooper so I would love some thoughts from people! Thanks so much!

I'm not a fan at all. Dislike the nickname Coop a lot.

Me too!
I like it!
I think of it as a dog's name or a last name before a child's fn.
I also associate it with the character Peter Facinelli plays on Nurse Jackie. He's a total t-bag.
Super Duper Pooper Cooper. If you don't mind his name rhyming with Pooper, or his nickname rhyming with Poop, go for it. Personally, I would not use it, but it also sounds awful with our last name, so it was never a consideration.
Plus it's a fairly common surname given as a first name, ranking up there with Carter, Spencer, etc.
