This probably makes them sound worse, but my brother picked it out because he thought it sounded pretty.. and it was kinda a surprise when Nevaeh was three months old and someone pointed out it was heaven backwards.
No offense taken! I'm a pretty big fan of traditional names as well, I was just surprised that Nevaeh was the most-bashed name here.
I know 3 Nevaeh's in real life, and I have never heard anyone complain or criticize the name. To me it's honestly just a name on The Bump that a bunch of women choose to hate (along with the "-aden" trend). There are definitely names that I don't prefer in life, but to bash a name the way it's bashed on here is a bit extreme to me. Nevaeh isn't my style, but it's not the worst thing I've heard.

Well here comes the one person who seems to like it lol.
I have met a few nevaeh (who were not strippers) and I thought it was a cute name, Yes its made up and its a word that is backwards but I have noticed the trend with baby names right is is putting two names together, or naming kids after places (asia, paris, egypt, brooklyn, berlin, london) So I dont think naming your kid heaven and flipping it backwards is tacky or stupid.
-Egypt
I don't know what trend you're speaking about? Since the top "trendiest" (read: top 5 on the SS list) names right now are Isabella, Sophia, Emma, Olivia, and Ava. None of those are two name names or place names.
Yes, many celebrities have named their children after places (Alicia Keys: Egypt, Gwen Stefani: Kingston, Mariah Carrey: Morocco, Victoria Beckham: Brooklyn, Ashlee Simpson: Bronx) but I wouldn't say that those celebrities have started a "trend" among the everyday people.
I know an Egypt, Brooklyn, Asia, London, and others in real life. It is getting kind of popular.
When I hear the name, I immediately assume that the family is not college educated, most likely not married to the baby's father, and from a low socioeconomic background.
Just my honest opinion.
^Awesomeness.^
I hated the Neveah and -aden phenomenon before TB.

I think 3 of the 4 pregnant sophmores in my high school named their daughters this, the fourth went with Savannah. Those two names have made me think "teen mom" ever since.
