So we started telling people the good news this weekend. I am starting to realize when I tell people twins they become worried or scared for me. I am so happy about twins but some people have the weirdest comments or questions. Did anyone else encounter this?
Re: Reaction to twins
Suprisingly no.. my comments were all of disbelief. Literally no one believed us lol. We had to tell them over and over until they believed we weren't kidding! The scared/nervous was only what I thought/felt for the most part.
And I'm talking about when I told family/friends. If I mentioned to a stranger (who asked) that I was having twins, I would get the usual "oh you'll go early" comment. I just shrugged that off each time. A LOT of people are un-educated about twin pregnancies so I wouldn't worry about their comments.

Comments are going to come in all forms from here on out. We are still getting comments and I don't think it will stop.
With that being said, mostly people were excited for me and then the "What are you guys going to do?" question was next. It's been pretty crazy ever since!
With a baby who was only 14 ish months old when I found out I was pregnant with twins, I cried telling my good friends. I was mortified!
I was very much okay with people being shocked-I was too! It was the "it's going to be awesome," comments that made me cry more. lol-
But, yes, people get nervous when they hear twins. One baby is a lot of work but, when you throw the "bonus" baby in the mix-it's a shocker.
I think I would have been in a much different state of mind if I didn't have one that was sooo young.
It's fun telling people though once you start telling!
no one believed me!! my mom almost passed out, and my MIL told me it wasn't funny to joke about something like that.
my sisters believed and were excited i was pregnant, but then when i told them with twins, they told me i pushed it too far. lol.
That was my experience, too.
