I definetly have less than 50 posts... does that mean if i get a BFP i can't post it? i thought this was supposed to be a supportive site where people could talk about their fears and feelings and receive support from people going through the same things.

You can post your bfp right away on the 1st tri board. Its just that some of these ladies have been here for a very long time...and it comes off rude or bragging if u post a bfp without even posting here beforehand. and the same questions are asked daily...and we just get sick of it.

Thank you!! Whenever I read a title like that I always say "obviously" to myself. I just thought it was mandatory or something, but at least I am not the only one annoyed by it.

(Assuming you have only friends and family on your FB) Though I totally understand if someone is annoying and writes on your FB stupid things or lame questions like "when are you getting KU!?"

As for a new law how about, bringing back the 3 day wait or maybe make it a week so that people are forced to lurk before jumping in. That way they may see how the board works. Also I think a required introduction post would be nice. That way we can learn a little bit about each new person and we have a chance to welcome them and tell them some rules etc.

I don't understand why you would WANT to announce your pregnancy to a bunch of strangers on board who don't know you. If you haven't really posted much before and you are obviously not coming back to post again, why bother?

Why not just announce on the 1st Trimester board where you will be actively posting going forward? THOSE are the ladies who you will be sharing your fears, feelings ect. with - NOT the TTGP board.

It just seems like a strange thing to be bothered over to me. Huh?

My Rule: No whining about the rude, horrible, Biotches on a public board you choose to participate in.
The rule regarding lurking should have given you a clue to what you were in for.

Zero tolerance for people who have less than 20 posts complaining that everyone on here is bitter, a hag, *insert your own word here*. If they spend ANY amount of time here they'd know it's completely untrue and just plain unfair to judge that quickly w/out getting to know the board.

To s. hinder: Yes, it absolutely means if you have less than 50 posts, you should not post a BFP. Sorry, but if we don't know you, we're not going to give a crap. We don't wish you any ill will, but WE DON'T CARE.

To Jackie: Same goes for you. You shouldn't feel like you are going to be attacked. Just think before you post. It's not that difficult.

I really do not understand how newbies come on here and only see the "bad." Do you all just overlook the Tuesday TTGP Grads Check-In? Do you not see the BFP posts of ladies we know that can grow to 4+ pages? Or the posts when a regular has a miscarriage or their 14th BFN or just a bad day?

I'll fully admit to occasionally being a bitter hag, but only when necessary!

No one should be allowed to post or ask questions until they've read TCOYF. I'm willing to put money on the fact that if more people read the book, or at least the important chapters, there would be fewer stupid questions on the board.

Eh. I'm fine with letting people post what they want, even BFP announcements from newbies and "ZOMG CD1 AF IS HERE ALERT THE MEDIA" threads. They're just words on a screen and presumably everyone here is an adult. If I don't like it it only takes one click to move on to something else. I have no desire to make message board users follow rules dictated by my preferences. That's my two cents. Feel free to disregard.
