Does anyone have recommendations for finding a live-in nanny or au pair? What services have you used or where did you find yours? Looking to make the leap to in-home from our fabulous daycare for lots of reasons and don't know where to start...
A friend of mine used to be a nanny for White House Nannies. Based on what she said, they do super extensive background checks on everyone who works for them. They are very pricey, but probably worth it.
Also, if you have a neighborhood listserve or message board, check there. Our neighborhood's listserve regularly has messages from people who are looking for a new family for their beloved nannies (like if their kids are now too old or they are moving).
