And is there any significance to them?
Girl: Hailey Adeline: Adeline is my grandfather's mom's name, and I'd like to honor him by using her name for our DD. Plus, I love it. ![]()
Boy: Noah William: Dh and I have liked Noah since the very first time we started talking baby names..way back in 2007, lol. And William is my grandfather's name, so again, that's for him.
Re: What names do you have picked out? or are tossing around
Both great choices, and what a lovely way to honor your father.
Girl - As of now it is Kaitlyn Reid - Reid is a family name on my husbands side.
Boy - I think will be forever nameless! We cannot agree on anything. Regardless his middle name will be Reid though. We were agreeing on Carter, but I don't know if we could do it when our daughter is Reagan.
The only thing we've decided on is to quit talking/arguing about names until we find out the sex, so we can rule out one list of names and focus on the one that will matter. Some of my favorites are...
Girls: Molly Elizabeth, Annabelle Eileen (Eileen is mine and my mother's middle names), Jocelyn (call Josie, DH likes Josie, but hates Jocelyn)
Boys: middle name has to be David after my dad who only had girls and I'd like to pass on his first name, since his last name won't be. Maybe Shane, Jacob, or Thomas.
BFP 1 on 10.30.10 spontaneous m/c on 12.28.10 at 12 weeks
BFP 2 It's a girl! Born 1.18.12 at 39w
I know a Josie whose full name is Josephine, maybe that could be an option?
Girl name: Sofia Isabella- Isabella is my grandmother's name
Boy name: Nicholas Ryan- Nicholas is his grandfather's name
Girl: Cameron Grace - not completely sold on it, but it's all that we have agreed on
Boy: Oliver Finnegan - no significance, but I LOVE Oliver and he LOVES Finnegan. I also really like Oliver Clark. I'm still fighting for that one, but I think I'm going to lose. LOL As long as I get Oliver I can live with either middle name.
Girl: We like Quinn, Ginny and Georgia. Quinn is my current favorite, but my husband likes Ginny best. I put my name list in my siggy, and it looks like I'm winning right now ;-) We have Margaret as our middle name, (family) but we haven't decided for sure if thats what we want to use.
Boy: Got to be a "junior"! My husband's first name has been passed down for something like, 14 generations (only 9 for the first and middle together). So, boy will be Gilman William.
Mom to Nora Audrey *09.03.2009*
Girl: Stella or Estelle. My grandmother is Estelle and her mother was Stella, so keeping it in the family.
Boy: I really like Liam, after my father William. We haven't decided on the boy name yet for sure. DH really likes Eli.
I love the name Molly.
Our girl list is a hot mess. Nothing really clicked, but we had Kate, Mia, Caroline, and Audrey at the top.
For boys, Luke and Jack are our front runners. I just hate how popular they both are. Other names are Reid, Leo, and Miles.
Boy: Bradley David - David is both of our father's names - We're pretty sure on this one
Girl: Annabelle Opal - Opal is my grandmother's name - We are sure we are going to use Opal somewhere but not sure on Annabelle (I'm afraid it might be too close to Abigail, my 4 month old niece's name)
Robyn Elise & Mason (my DH wont discuss a MN he's convinced its a girl)
Girls-
Caprica Sky, Hera Sky, Ameris Sky... I love the middle name Sky.. I think its original and pretty!
Boys-
Oren, Conner, Alden (my fathers name was Alan, this was the closest name to that that I liked), Pierce and Reed.
Boys names are so hard, I love Oren but DH doesnt like that.
So Bizarre...Sawyer James is actually a name on our list! Love it!!
Boy: Cruz David - My husband came up with the name and I love it. His middle name and father's name is David, so he wasn't trying to copy David Beckham's kid, haha. And he is Spanish and Cruz is a Spanish name.
Girl name: This has been a tough one. We cannot agree on any name except one that we both LOVE. Unfortunately we used the name for our dog already. I finally decided that there is no reason for us to settle on a name we both don't love and we want to use it anyways. The only reason I was holding back is because I was worried of what people would think, but who cares. The reality is my kid will be around much longer than my dog. Plus the name has a lot of personal meaning as it was the name my mother was going to name me and she passed away.
The name is Sasha. Deciding between Sasha Grace and Sasha Blake.
Layla 01.08.12
Chloe and Vivian 07.23.13
My Gang. Halloween 2013
Girl: Grayson, Brenna, Stella, Killian...... I know there are more but I can't think of them right now. Ann will definately be the middle name after my mom and grandma.
Boy: James is the middle name (after my FI) and for first names, we are on Sawyer, Briar, Rugar, & Jamison
It's a great idea in theory, but Josephine was my great-grandmother's name (which sounds like a plus right?), and she was always really mean to me, as a child, and my mother. I just don't think I could name my DD after her....
Boy: Gabriel Joe: Joe is DH grandfathers name, his father's middle name, and his middle name, so he would like to keep the tradition going with our son if we have a boy
Girl: not a clue! Every girl name that I love DH thinks is ugly and I think the same about the names he likes.
boy- diego
girl-mayah
we're still tossing quite a few around, but here is our list this week:
girl: lucy, lenora, delilah, gia
boy: donovan, vincent, andrew, federico
it's going to be so hard to make the final decision!
So many good names out there!
For a girl, we really like Madeline, possibly Madeline Rose (nn Elly). My husband's mother was baptized Magdalena when she converted (and she didn't like her real first name). She passed away three years ago. I'd always liked the name Madeline, and when we saw that it's a variation of Magdalena, it seemed perfect.
For a boy, we don't really love anything. Benjamin is a possibility...
We're kind of waiting for the a/s before we stress over boys names

Cruz is also at the top of our boy list. My DH is also of Spanish heritage.
We haven't fully decided but here is our short list we can agree on:
Girl
Cora, Seren, Brie, Kenzie and Lux. Right now the front runner is Lux Cathlen. The middle name will be Cathlen no matter what after MH's mom.
Boy
Xander, Beck and Cruz. Right now the front runner is Cruz Vernon. The middle name will be Vernon no matter what after MH's dad.
Girl - we're holding steady with Vivienne. I'm pulling for Noelle for the middle name but DH likes Paige. I'm ok with Paige too. If it turns out to be a girl we'll revisit and might change things up, who knows. No real significance to these.
Boy - if we have another boy we're screwed. we used ALL our good family boy names on our son and had a reallllly hard time coming up with those. So far the frontrunner is Vincent.
We do Bible-based names for first and family names for middle.
Boy: Jude Kenneth / Jude Robert / Jude _________
Girl (probably): Eden Rose / Eden Ellanor / Eden Eleanor
Mama Jan's Kitchen... a food blog
We have a boys name pickd out fully, it's the same name we would have used if our daughter had been a boy. It's actually my favorite name from when I was 12! For a girl we have a first name but are still working on figuring out a middle name that goes with it.
Boy - Donovan Daniel
Girl - Brooklyn Louise/Juliet/????
Daughter #1 - February 12, 2010
natural m/c March 11, 2011 at 8 1/2 weeks
Daughter #2 - January 11, 2012
Ectopic pregnancy discovered November 6, 2012 at 6 weeks
Daughter #3 - January 19, 2014
Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
Girl - I am liking Kinley and Harper...no matter the first name the middle name is Joy for sure after my sister.
Boy - this is a hard one...he may be nameless haha. I am liking Bentley
Samuel (Sam) if it's a boy after Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), my husband's favorite author. DH hasn't picked a middle name yet.
Charlotte Diane or Jillian Diane if it's a girl. Charlotte is my gma's name and Diane is my mom's middle name and my middle name so I'll carry that on.
Here is a tentative list, MH isn't wanting to discuss too much until we know what we are having. (all of our mn's are after relatives)
Girls: Audrey Lynn, Lydia Rae, or Alana Bethann
Boys: Aiden Douglas, Brayden Douglas, Dason Nathanial
girls: Mila or brooklyn is all we both like but not love. Mila is cute and different though.
Boys: my husband wants Cy like (sigh) I dont like it but I cant find one boy name he likes this is so hard.
For a boy: August James (August was a family name in both our families a few generations back, and James is my husband's middle name). Possible nickname of AJ.
For a girl: Adelle Rose (or possibly Adelynne Rose as I seem to prefer 3 syllable first names). Adelle is DH's mom's middle name. Either way, nickname would be Addy.
We're not 100% yet, but this is what we have come up with
Girl: Lilliana or Adelina. No decided middle name yet, but I've been tossing around Marie after my sister's middle name
Boy: Lathan Quinn We both agreed on Quinn off the bat!
I think we are set on the middle names-Anne or Andrew but are still having trouble with the first names. Some of the front runners now are:
Girl-Phoebe, Cora, Esme and Amelia
Boy-Henry, Thomas, Callum,
Since we first talked about having another little one we always knew what the name would be if it's a boy. Nathanial. After DH late brother who was KIA.
As for a little girl, we have no clue. We had a list written down a few months back and we lost it somewhere. We do know her middle name will be Lynn. Its the middle name of my 2 best friends, my sister-in-law, and DH father.
No matter what the names will have a part of our family in it. My 2 DD now have some sort of family history in their name.
