We are telling our parents this weekend. Yes we want to do it this early, figured if anything were to happen we would really need their suport. Plus they all know we have been trying (this is our 10th month) so they ask us all they time. Sooo, if you how did you tell "grandma and grandpa"? If if you haven't how will you? Any other fun ideas for other VIP's?

Re: telling your parents
When I was preggers with my first, we gave them a card that said LOVE BABY
Make a pregnancy ticker
It's big to us to tell our families in person. But we want to wait a couple weeks. We'll probably just pick up some "Proud new grandma/pa" shirts and give them. I'd love to go see my family(they're closer) next weekend for Fathers Day. We will probably announce to the ILs when we go home next month for DH's grandparents big 50th bash.
ETA - I'm thinking for their anniversary we'll get them a big cake that says Happy Anni to the great grand parents(this will be their first grand baby).
We are making a card for my Dad for Father's day. It will read...
You are the best Pawpaw on Earth (with a picture of our DS) on the front and on the inside all it will say is x2! With an ultrasound picture! I cannot wait!!!!!!
And DS will have a shirt that says "Big Brother" that he'll wear to our annual 4th of July party. That is how extended family will find out! :-)

That is awesome!
With DS we gave each set of grandparents a frame that had a u/s pic and said "Baby S___ due in July" on it.
This time H just kind of blurted out that DS is going to be a big brother. We plan on telling my parents next weekend. I have a u/s on Wed so hopefully I can have DS give them the pic.
I live 12 hours from my parents, so as much as I wanted to tell them in person, that wasn't feasible. I designed tshirts on customgirl.com (Mine said "coming soon" and had baby foot prints on the belly, and H's said "future daddy" with a stork carrying a baby) I took a picture of us wearing our shirt and I called my dad and asked him to go next to my mom so I could text them a picture of a house project, and instead sent them the picture of us. It was pretty perfect for us.
I do love that picture idea though- it would be wonderful to capture the expressions on everyone's faces at that moment. Definitely something to treasure!
My parents passed away 6 years ago, and we aren't close to Hs parents, so we haven't told them yet. ?But we did do something for our older close friends (sort of our pseudo-parents who will be grandparents to our baby).
They are my brother's in-laws, and have been a huge part of our lives since I moved to San Diego (we eat dinner with them once a week, she bought my wedding dress for me, etc.). ?When my brother and their daughter got married in January, she spoke at the wedding and spoke about the importance of the table in their lives, how their family has grown around dinners, etc.
So anyway, we wrapped a little bowl and cup, and wrote a card saying "Will you set one more place at your table for us?". ?They were so excited
? We are having their first 'grandbaby'. ?

We have a 9 year old daughter and I ordered her an "I'm going to be a big sister" t-shirt. When we tell her, I'll wrap the shirt and she'll find out when she opens it. To tell my family, I'll have her wear it to my parents' house.
