fruit salad (no whipped cream), potato salad, different kids of sandwiches (cut into halves or even quarters), cheese, deli meat and crackers, cold chicken, pasta salad...
We just had a picnic at the park on Monday and I just packed things we had around the house. PB and J's for the kids and DH and a salami and cheese sandwich for me. String cheese, goldfish, grapes and I also made M&M's cookies to take with us. I always bring a juice box as a treat for DD too.
If we planned it more in advance I might make a pasta or macaroni salad too.
