DD is still in her crib. She has never tried to get out, not once. She seems to like it. But we decided if she hasnt climbed out by her b-day in September we are going to transition to the bed at that time. We were thinking of making a big deal out of it by painting her room and getting a new duvet and sheet set as part of her b-day gift. She seems excited.
Anyway, we have never tried to convert the crib to a bed. Do we need a new mattress? I am assuming yes, is it a twin bed that it converts into?
Re: If your crib converts to a bed, a question!
What PP stated. We converted ours to a toddler bed (used the same mattress).
When we decide to convert to the twin of course we'll need new mattresses than.
DS was the same way about not trying to get out of his crib. We decided to convert to the toddler bed after we moved and used the same mattress. We won't be purchasing a new mattress until we convert it to the full size bed... which will be never because they stay little forever, right?!
