Dh is trading in his tiny Saturn next weekend. He was able to get a good deal for his trade and we are debating between the two. The pilot has the 3rd row and decent room and the odyssey has tons of space. I am leaning towards the mini van. Our kids are small now but I think as they grow we will have wished we gotten the mini van if we don't. Dh isn't sold on being a " mini van" driver.
Re: Honda pilot or odyssey?
I LOOOVE love love love my Pilot. But I would still get the Odyssey. We bought our Pilot back before we were even thinking of kids and all we had was a big dog. It still works for us and we are fine, but if I were to buy a new car at this point in my life I would probably do a mini van. As it stands, we likely won't get a van, and the Pilot works perfectly fine for a few kids, but it isn't as convenient as the minivan.
On the other hand, I like the looks of the Pilot a lot better. But right now convenience rules the day!
Good luck with your choice! You really can't go wrong.

No more TTC for us. We are done, and at peace, as a family of 4.

Odyssey! While on vacation last week we rented a mini van and it was great being able to hit a button to have the doors open and DD could climb into her seat on her own while I get DS buckled into his seat.
We're home now and back to my Equinox and I'm missing the mini-van. I NEVER wanted to be a mini-van Mom, but it's just so much more convenient.

With 3 you might be happier with the Oddyssy. I have a Pilot and LOVE it. If we have 3 I'll keep it for a while, but the Oddyssy or another minivan will be my next jump. Right now I like my Pilot because it allows us more flexibility with passengers. I have the two car seats on the 60-part of the 60/40 split and we then have access to the third row for extra passengers (which we do have often). If I had a mini van I wouldn't have that flex because the car seats would take up the captain's chairs and not allow access to the back seats. A friend of mine with 3 kids has a van and they removed one 2nd row chair to allow easy access to car seats in the back.
I have ZERO complaints about my Pilot, but I *think* in your situation you might like the Oddyssy better.

Just looked at the ages of your kids, I would suggest the van, you'll have a double stroller I would assume, and possible two rear facing car seats, I just can't see it fitting well. At 5 9 I couldn't have a rear facing convertible behind me as the driver, and my passenger at 5 3 was very squished.
