i'm having a hard time thinking of things to cook just for myself and/or my 3.5 y.o. SD... i always make a meal for her but i'm not a fan of mac n cheese and hot dogs
so i'm wondering what i could make to keep myself sustained while BFing.
any suggestions would be appreciated!!
tia!

We usually have no-cook lunches, and it's easier to make the same lunch for both DS and I, rather than making 2 different meals. We often have wraps (tons of veggies, easy spreads like hummus or pesto, cheese, leftover grilled chicken slices, etc), hearty soups, yogurt or cottage cheese, fruits or veggies. Grilled cheese is easy to make as are pizza bagels.
I also try to keep easy and healthy snacks handy, like hard boiled eggs, prewashed fruit and veggies in small containers, rice cakes and peanut butter, etc. I also loved having kashi golean bars handy during the first few weeks of bfing (I make my own granola now though). Some weeks I make a batch of hummus for the week too.
It works best for me to figure out what we're gonna eat the next day the night before. That way I can plan ahead before we're hungry and it's easier to make and clean up while the LOs are sleeping.
can I come over your house? yum!
