Nope -- unless you are touching your dancing partner in areas you shouldn't be, but that should be obvious.

  • What kind d of dancing? Bump and grind, yes... waltz, no.

  • It depends on the type of dancing.  I danced with a lot of people at various weddings, but I would never bump and grind with another man other than DH.

  • It depends on the kind of dancing. If it is a traditional dance then no but if it is hump and grind dance then yes.

  • I voted no, but if it's obscene dancing (i.e. rubbing things together) then I'd say yes, it is.

I had a couple at my wedding that were practically having sex with their clothes on on the dance floor.  Gag.  They were a couple, but I still think it was a crime against everyone in the room.  I had to apologize to a few people.

  • DH was going salsa dancing with a chick from work before I met him. Once we became exclusive, I put the kibosh on that shizz.

I say if it's in front of you, and not dirty tirdy dancing, it's ok.

  • Meh.  If DH wants to head-bang with someone else, then so be it.  I know he's coming home with me.  Andplusalso, he tends to have to be loopy to dance (and it HAS to be to 80's rock), so I know I'll be getting some when we get home.

My thoughts too. Depends on the type of dancing. Down and dirty dancing, definitely.

    Slow dance, not so much.

you can club dance without touching naughty parts.  I would say if some chicks ass was too close to DH's penie, then we'd have a problem.  He can be silly and dance close and stuff, but there is no need for rubbing of any kind.

I voted SS but if you mean club dancing (which seems bump and grind to me) I'd say its a marital faux pas except certain circumstances (such as with a big group of friends), but even then it'd be weird.  I'd feel totally weird dancing this way with a friends DH and wouldn't be too thrilled about DH dancing this way with someone else...

I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought this. I don't think it's a big deal at all.  I've even let ex boyfriends dance with other girls because that's just how you dance at a club. It's not like you're going to break into a waltz.

LOL - as I said earlier, DH doesn't dance unless he's loopy and they're playing 80's rock.  Anything else, I have to dance with girlfriends or with some other dude.

This totally sucks for the former dance instructor in me.  I miss dancing.  I need a girls' night in NYC to go dancing.

When my H and I were just b/f and g/f, I had a friend who was bi curious and she always wanted to try stuff with me but I just couldn't.  Not that I have anything against that but it's not for me.  Anyway, H then b/f would always get jealous of her so I guess it can also be a no-no in this case too depending on the situation.

I don't think it's a big deal to grind with someone if it's all fun and games.  Like if you're friends of the opposite sex for example, but usually if it's a stranger trying to stick his ish all up your a$$, then that's a no-no.

THIS. My DH doesn't dance so if we went somewhere and someone started the Jive or Fox Trot, and he didn't want to dance with me, I'd dance with other folks. If a dude tried to dry hump me on the dance floor, I would put my hands in the air and shout "I NEED AN ADULT" and let my DH take it from there.

  • I'm probably the opposite.  If it's bumping and grinding or club dancing or whatever you want to call it, I'm cool with that.  That just doesn't worry me.  However, if he "slow danced" in any form at a wedding with someone other than his mom or sister, I'd be pissed as all hell.  Do you know what kind of begging and pleading I have to do to get that man to dance with me?

  • I am in no way the jealous type, so my husband dancing with someone else (good luck getting him to dance) would not bother me in the least. We are both very open and trusting people with each other. I no doubt he wouldn't have a problem with me dancing with someone else either.

We are both so open that we have had threesomes. Surprise!

I can see where everyone is coming from but I've never been jealous of that kind of thing because I have always liked to dance so if my H wanted to dance with someone else then that is okay with me. I know he is coming home with me so it's no big deal but then again, people have found me weird for the things I'm okay with.

This. I would not be okay with my H club dancing with another woman but that's just me - and if you aren't okay with it, then your H/SO should not give you any grief over it.

I wouldn't be ok with it. Someone could call me jealous, insecure, etc but I'm not ok with some girl rubbing her butt on H's wang, even if they both have clothes on.

  • Bumping and grinding = yes.

Slow dancing like you would with your dad = no.

I slow danced (with several inches between us) with my sister's husband at her wedding because she told me to.  It was awkward, but I wouldn't have considered it adulterous in any way since we looked like a couple of grade 5ers afraid to touch each other and catch cooties.

ITA.  And I think it's disrespectful as shiit to be dry humping someone other than your spouse.

    But that's just me.
