So I started a new job Nov 1st 2010. The company is located in MA, but I work and live in NH. They were taking MA taxes out of my check, claiming I worked in MA. So I have been fighting with MA.gov to give me back my $500 they took out of my check, as I don't work in MA, the company is only located in MA.

I contacted HR in Dec 2010, she told me they would change my payroll deductions to a field employee as the company in NH is so new they didn't have a code to not have the MA taxes taken out of my check each week.

So between fighting to get my $500 back with MA.gov.. I just noticed on my check that MA taxes are still being taken out.. So far over $1200 taken out.. so now I'm stressing that it's going to be another fight next year with MA to get that money back. I want to scream and cry right now.. And it's only May... so God knows what the total amount will be at the end of the year...

I sent HR a e-mail with a screenshot and her origial letter saying they would change my status as of Jan 2011.. and now I want a certified letter so I can try to have less a fight to get all my $$ back in Feb 2012...

Insert hormonal freaking out now.
