I love being pregnant!!!

Im a the only one?? I was just on the 3rd tri board and it doesnt seem that anyone over there enjoys it, and I cant think of anyone on this board that stands out either.

I know that I'm a little "strange" but I can not be the only one.....

Re: I love being pregnant!!!

  • I am loving it!  I told my husband I was going to be sad when it's over, but he is excited to "share" the baby with me, and I liked the way he said it so I am excited for that, too!  :-)  It's just exciting all around!!

  • You are not alone!!!! My biggest complaint of pregnancy is that it doesn't last long enough! =) Despite the aches and pains and other not so great things, I really have enjoyed every bit of being pregnant!

  • I really don't like being pregnant but I sincerely think it is great that you do! I'm a little jealous to be honest.
  • I'm right there with ya sista!  :)

I love being pregnant, I really have not felt bad the entire time.  I am definitely counting that as a blessing and not taking that for granted!  I think I had about two weeks of a little queasiness, but nothing that couldn't be cured by some saltines!

It's kind of sad thinking I only have 8 weeks of being prego left, I love feeling my baby flip, kick and turn in there!

So no, you aren't strange, and you definitely aren't the only one feeling this way!  There are two of us that feel this way!  ha!

  • I've thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant, but I've had a relatively uneventful pregnancy so far. I think a lot of the women who complain about being pregnant have had complications or been on bedrest, etc. So, I can't blame them. Plus, I'm definitely getting physically uncomfortable and anxious to meet my baby, so I think, as we approach our due dates, more people are just "over it" and want their baby, but that's not to say they hate being pregnant.

  • Nope, you aren't the only one.  Even with the swelling, BP issues, and all of the my many Dr.'s visits to the hospital and Dr.'s office, I love being pregnant.  It is such a great experience and I actually find myself becoming sad when I think about the fact that it's almost over!

  • I love being pregnant, I'm just ready to meet our LO. I love pregnancy, I've been very lucky no symptoms, and no morning sickness so far. And I'm very greatful! I'm just way ready to meet him!

  • i love being pregnant too! i am fortunate to have had an "easy" pregnancy with no morning sickness or problems.  Now that the baby is dropping lower i get achey, but really if one month out of almost 10 is rough, i cant complain!!! i will be sad when my baby bump goes away:(

  • Me too. I feel great, I'm in a good mood (usually), and I love the attention. I told my husband the other night that I see now why people want to be surrogate mothers...I never understood why anyone would want to go through that before. I love having this special time with my baby and doing something only I can do for him. I do worry, but heck, I did that before I was pregnant.

I'm sure if I had annoying side effects or bed rest or anything like that I'd be the first to complain. But (knock on wood) I love it, too! You aren't alone. :)

  • I love it!  I'm loving the glow, my hair and nails.  I woke up the other morning to the sheets off of me. SO was staring at my body LOL!  He loves it too!
  • I've always loved it. My first pregnancy was especially great. Each time has been a little bit harder, but I still really enjoy it. I've been fortunate to have such healthy pregnancies.
  • I feel truly blessed to be pregnant, and I don't dislike it. It's great, but I have my days where I am exhausted and just really yearn for some rest. But pregnancy is a beautiful thing.
  • I LOVED being pregnant with DS, I was like oh man I could do this a million times over and never get sick of it. After he was born I really missed being pregnant. This time around has been TOTALLY different. DS was so easy on my. I had heartburn and that was about it...this time I've been sick since about week 5 and it hasnt gotten any better. I'm uncomfortable and in a lot of pain and throwing up everyday just adds to the misery. Also having a 3 year old to run after is really hard on me...esp since he's at the stage where everything is a fight. I don't have the energy for it and I'm more than ready to meet this little one and go back to being comfortable.

  • Up until about the last week I loved every day of it!  I'm starting to have some off days now where I am more sore/tired but for the most part I am still loving it!

I am with the others though who just can't wait to meet our LOs!

  • I absolutely love it!!!!  I do have my complaints, but they are few....ribs....ribs hurt!

  • I don't love it, but I'm not miserable either.  I think I would feel a lot more positive about it if it weren't for the v-veins that have developed on my labia.  Ick!
  • I love being pregnant too! I love everything about it. The aches and pains come with the territory. I don't know if this makes sense, but every time something new pops up, like lightning crotch, or sciatic nerve pain... I see it as just another badge of honor for my body for doing something so amazing.

I'm tired, I hope that makes sense. Haha!

  • I too, love being pregnant. I got sad during birthing class when the instructor mentioned that after the delivery of the placenta "you are no longer pregnant". I was explaining to my husband that along with all the wonderful feelings of being pregnant (for me at least), pregnancy defines you for 8 months and to all of a sudden have that taken away your identity suffers a loss (in my opinion). I will love having a baby but this is the way I am feeling!

  • I hate you.

haha just kidding. I'm honestly not in love with being pregnant but it's tolerable for me. DH is hoping "tolerable" is enough to make me want to do this all over again.  I say "we shall see" =)

  • You're not alone!  I get sad when I think about not feeling her inside of me anymore.
  • I was reading that last night over there and thought the same thing! Mainly in the "difference between 1st, 2nd and 3rd tri boards" post. How someone mentioned that everyone in their 3rd tri is miserable. I almost made a seperate post saying "Who is not miserable in 3rd tri"...lol. While I feel big and have a hard time getting out of bed, I am not iserable.
  • I absolutely love being pregnant! I'm glad I love it so much because this is my first and I want 4! :) I think everyone's feelings towards their pregnancy depends on how easy/difficult their pregnancy is though. I know I've had an extremely easy pregnancy, so I have no complaints and I love it, but, if I had a difficult pregnancy I don't know how I'd feel about it.

  • I love the way I look when pregnant, but the way I feel is a different story....I feel so silly waddling and getting in and out of bed and grunting up a storm when rolling over in bed or getting out of a chair.

But I will admit, I love how I look. Now I'm not super happy this pregnancy and I think it has to do more with the bedrest and having a toddler running around. I LOVED every single minute of being pregnant with DS because I had no complications and no toddler to look after, but this time around, it's just exhausting.

  • I love it too!  Although I am a little sore and getting more uncomfortable, I still love it.  I love feeling my baby moving and I will miss that for sure.  I've also never felt more comfortable with my body and how I look.  I tell people that I didn't think I'd be so excited to gain weight. Wink

I think this whole experience has been amazing and to be honest, I can't wait to do it again...morning sickness and all!

  • I don't think you're strange.  I absolutely ADORE being pregnant!!  I am going to be so sad to lose that when the baby is born!

  • i was really enjoying it until last week or so. now i'm just sore and ready to meet this little guy! I think DH is jealous that i get to feel all the kicks and movement. he's starting to get really excited for him to make his entrance too! not gonna lie, i miss eating sushi and rare steak, but i'll live for a bit more :)

  • no u are not the only 1. I love my pregnancy, it has brought a sense of tranquility to my normally drama filled life. i love all the changes that have come with it, physically and mentally.

i feel bad for the women having tough pregnancies but i like to hear some positive stuff once in a while.

  • Heck no!  I was just telling my husband last night that despite the aches and pains and trouble sleeping, I really haven't minded being pregnant.  It's kinda cool to see how much your body changes.

I am sick to death of being on bed rest, but that's another story.  Hopefully my next pregnancy will not end up this way!

  • i've had morning sickness for 6+ months and a couple of scares....but I LOVE being pregnant

DH is anxious for the baby to arrive...but I think i'm actually going to really miss feeling her all the time

  • I love that I'm actually pregnant because I REALLY appreciate what a miracle it is.  I haven't had a lot of problems until the last couple weeks were I'm feeling lots of pressure/pain but I'm not complaining because I know that it's all worth it.

What I don't love is the constant worrying about something going wrong (either during pregnancy or during labour)...I don't think I would have been AS nervous if I'd conceived naturally (and quickly) though...I hate that infertility robbed me of being able to relax during my pregnancy but I certainly don't hate being pregnant if that makes sense?!?!

  • I love the reason I am pregnant and the beauty of it... I however do not enjoy the back pain, heartburn, uncomfortable-ness, and the fact I have lost all ability to sleep!

  • I'm not sure "love" would be the right word, but I really like it, and I will miss it when I'm no longer pregnant. I do love feeling baby move, and I admit that I do love the attention!
