Why do people post pictures of their fetus's genitals from ultrasounds? If you weren't going to find out if it was a boy or a girl until it was born would you take a picture of the business then and send it to people saying its a boy/girl?

I imagine she means the close-up that usually has an arrow and "it's a girl/boy!" on it. And I agree, no one needs to see my baby's genitals. I get sharing it with close family or something, but I'd be pissed if I found out that my mom posted something like that to a public web site when I was a baby. There are so many people who do this that you might get attacked with the whole "parts are parts" camp, but i agree that it is definitely tacky and weird. Unless everyone you know is an u/s tech, leave the genital shot out.

True, it may not be for everyone, but I highly doubt it makes someone tacky and/or weird. It's an ultrasound shot, which usually people can't tell night and day from anyways. It's not like it's an actual photograph of a child's genitals that could be reproduced in any pornographic way. But thank you for your opinion.

While I understand your point of view, you have to remember that we are all different as is our opinions of what is "tacky and weird". Personally I find a lot of things annoying on this site but I don't go questioning it or insulting others since there are obviously a lot of people who disagree with me. Instead, I just ignore it and move on.

Remember that we all have varied perspectives. It's different to ask why people do something and another thing to label someone "tacky or weird" for doing something that you don't agree with. How about just viewing it as "interesting" as opposed to "wrong?".

No, because that would be an actual photograph of her vagina, that someone could steal and get their jollies off to online. Like I stated before, an ultrasound photo that is super grainy and doesn't even have in depth details is completely different than an actual photo of the genitals. BUT, I will agree with the other posters, and ask: "Who let Debbie Downer on the board today?!"...AND...YAY! I am tacky and weird! WOOHOO!

Wow, I can't believe there are women on here that judge others for wanting to share their u/s pictures. Who cares if it's a crotch shot? You can't see anything anyways. So you're supposed to see 3 lines with a girl ( I I I ) or a protrusion with a boy (sorry, can't figure out how to make that look), so what's the big deal? OMG, I can't believe you're showing me your little girls 3 lines!!!! Get a life and if you don't like looking at other's u/s pics, then don't open the thread. The title usually gives it away.
