Hey everybody! I found out a few weeks ago we are expecting baby #3! DH and I are super excited about it. However, I went in for a conformation appointment Wednesday, and I was due for a pap so my OB just did it then. She called me today and told me that I have Gonorrhea! I am freaking out because DH and I are both faithful and I am not sure where this could have come from. I asked the OB and she told me not to focus on that right now, and just take the meds she is describing both of us and it will be fine. I'm wondering where the heck we could have picked this up?!
Re: Preg with #3! And and infection?! Kind of tmi
I know it sounds bad, but I am positive that he isn't cheating. He just wouldnt do that.
I did get waxed recently at a new place. Do you think I could have picked it up there? Or do you think maybe DH got it at the gym or something. I know you can get like Jock Itch from the gym.
Well, I'm sorry I didn't pay much attention to that part of the seventh grade. I knew I wouldnt be sleeping around so I figured I wouldnt have to worry about it.
This reply lets me KNOW that this is MUD. If not, you are really are the most insanely ridiculous fool I have ever encountered in my life. REALLY???? the gym or the wax place??? Did they wax the inside of your cooter??? Did the exercise machine blow DH while he was there??
Harsh.
I make you sick? Well that is a little bit out there but okay. You dont know my husband or my life. My children are just fine.
Yeah, I bet a man who gives his wife Gonorrhea is a stand up father.
Wait.... I cant give it to my kids can I? Maybe I should make sure I wash all of our laundry in hot water.

There is really no need for name calling here. As a Registered Nurse, I am here to tell you that you cannot "pick-up" gonorrhea casually. If you did not have it at a previous check (since you first because monogamous with DH), either you or he got it elsewhere. There is no way around that.
I would get a full STD panel (blood draw, too), just to be sure and have an honest talk with DH about the ways STD's can be passed. If you know you didn't bring it into your marriage, then there is only one other person who is a possibility.
Good luck.

You all are such negative nancies. Your DH isn't cheating on you, OP! I bet it's just a false positive!!

So we got it from sex? There must be another way. Can I give it to my children? Should I be disinfecting everything? I bet I got it from trying on that bikini in Target the other day. That makes sense right? Because if someone had it and tried it on before me.... DH would not cheat.
THANK YOU AIRBUS! I knew there must be an explanation.
As an RN, one might think that you'd be aware that GC can't be detected from a pap smear.
You're not being realistical if you're ignoring the possibility that it's a false positive. That's what I'm trying to get through with that link of tiny fine print. If it's too tiny for your old eyes, you could try changing your computer settings so that the text is bigger, grandma.
Im so glad one of us is being "Realistical"
hahahahaha, but eww.
I dont need an education. I got my GED. I need a new doctor obviously. That swab was WRONG!
I am trying to undue all the falsities you are trying to shove down her throat. Her husband is not necessarily cheating on her. She very well could have gotten a false positive. Why don't you quit worrying about OP's marriage and start worrying about your own.
What? Now you think my husband is gay too? Any other conspiracy theories?
This is one of those std's that can't get 'picked up' randomly. It's sexually transmitted. So unless there was a mix up at the dr's office (perhaps you should request another test) then one of you have been unfaithful.
I'm really sorry. This is truly a sucky situation no matter how you want to slice it.
I literally just lol'd. DH looked at me and said 'what?' hahaha
Sadly, many people don't know the many different testing modes in pregnancy. GC is tested for in many metropolitan areas (with many cases of GC) at the first prenatal visit, so I assumed a bacterial swab was used without the OP's knowledge. Thanks for pointing that out though.

Aww, I like you. You delivered reality with a dose of kindness.
