Maybe it's because we've been through so much to get here, but I don't mind when people touch my belly. Granted, I have not encountered strangers doing it yet...not sure how I'll feel about that. But as far as family and my co-workers (with whom I am relatively close), I don't mind at all. In fact, last week, I was "rubbed" for the first time by a woman at school and I hugged her because I was so thrilled to finally be showing!
I totally understand why many woman do not like it/think it's acceptable, but I was wondering if there is anyone else who really doesn't care?
Re: Not minding belly rubbing? Anyone?
I don't mind at all. I've gotten a few from co-workers and it makes me happy that people are so happy for us.
I would probably mind if a stranger did it though.
I don't mind it too much, I will say it was weird when a friend of a friend did it when I was only 7 weeks, but unless its a stranger doing it i just roll with it.
I don't mind it if I tell the person it's ok first. If someone just touched my belly without asking I would not like that at all, no matter how close they are to me (DH excluded of course).
I worked in a store when PG with DS, and it was all women who shopped there. I was going to break the hand of the next person who touched me.
Thankfully, I don't work anymore, and I hope for no stranger touching this time around.
i dont mind it if its someone i know closely like a friend or family member
i wouldnt tolerate a stranger doing it though
