NBR: iphone vs. Droid X

Soooooo I've finally decided to do it...... I'm gonna get a smartphone!!!! I just wanted some input. I thought I always wanted an iphone but now I'm looking at the Droid X. I just thought maybe you ladies could help me out, gimme your opinions, TIA!

Are you a PC girl or Mac girl? I have a Droid Incredible. It's been pretty good to me and I have no real complaints. However, it's a windows based phone and I have a Mac. So, it makes it kind of hard to sync music and things to it.

So, I would say if you're a PC = go Droid X. If you're a Mac = go iPhone.

On a side note, iPhones do have a much better game/app selection. However, the droid market is catching up (though it's still pretty behind).

Lastly, the droid has the ability to hot spot--which is really neat.

I have the HTC Incredible and DH has the Droid X, both use the droid operating system. We love them! Droids tend to be a little cheaper, and Verizon was willing to work with us on the price of the Driods, they cannot do anything about the price of the iPhone. We ended up with a great deal and an extra $50 off each phone (on top of the $50 rebate.

I am Mac all the way and love my iPhone. FWIW, the iPhone 4 wins a lot of contests for favorite device, here is the latest one I heard about:

This! Both SO and I have the HTC Evo and we love it. I didn't want a smart phone b/c I was just fine with my old, no internet phone. Now, I would never go back! I would say go with a droid.

I love my Droid X, but I've always wanted an Iphone (but I had verizon) I was SO excited when the Iphone came to verizon, but then I realized that they are very similar, I would be getting the Iphone just for the name, the one person I know who has an Iphone says its great for EVERYTHING, except being a phone

I have no experience with anything Droid.

I've had an iPhone for almost three years and have nothing but good things to say about it. Everything about my life is synced between my MacBook and my iPhone. It keeps me sane.

As another poster stated... if you're used to a PC, a Droid will be fine. If you're a Mac girl, you will want an iPhone.

I've used a Droid before for a long time, but just recently switched to the iPhone. I like it more. Its much more simple to use. DH actually owns an iPhone repair shop (fixes anything that has to do with Apple). He's been working with Apple products since 2007.

I recently debated with getting an iphone and a Droid. I ended up getting the HTC Thunderbolt and I'm super happy with it. I'm not an app freak so I didn't really care about having access to apps that play fart noises and become flashlights.

My droid has a higher quality megapixel camera, better storage since it allows for SD cards, and I don't have to go through itunes to sync my music/apps every single time.

I again agree though, that depending on what type of computer you have, the choice is simple. Iphones and Droids are very similar with what they offer, it's just the little extras that each have that can factor one over the other.

i am a pc person but ive had an iphone since they first came out and i love it. i had a blackberry for a while, and it was ok but i missed my iphone. my brother tried the droid but it was just harder to use and it took a while to set up. after a while he just went back to his old iphone but i think the newer droids are soo much better.

I LOVE my iPhone 4. <33333 it! I've never used a droid but I do have a friend that blogs about electronics, companies actually send him the devices and he uses them and then reviews them. He's a mac guy so he has an iPhone has his personal phone but he really had nothing but good things to say about the droid. The only downside is that it is very easy to get viruses. I believe there are over 20,000 apps that have viruses in them so if you go with a droid make sure you download an anti-virus app first thing! One good thing about iPhones is that apple is really good with customer service and I have had a few friends drop there phones or just been careless and had things happen to them (drop them in the toilet you know all that good stuff) and then taken them to an apple store and have they have been given brand new ones with no problem.
