I saw a post on here a while back about reusable nursing pads, but I haven't been able to find it. Any recommendations (or brands to avoid)?
I'm interested in the LANA wool pads; if you used these, did you order the ekstra absorbency or just the regular?
Re: NCDR: Nursing Pad Recs?
I have these and I *love* them. I have tried several different kinds of reusable pads and these are by far my favorite. I have the regular absorbancy. While BF'ing I am a D cup and I have the size small. I am so glad I did not size up as they barely fit inside my bracups! That said, the big size means it covers your entire breast which gives you good coverage without adjusting even when you're side lying nursing AND they don't show through your clothes at all, even with a very thin bra. I was super skeptical about wool nursing pads but these are super soft and great!
I think it was your post on the thread a while back that led me to check out LANA! Thanks for sharing (especially about the sizing; I was debating whether to size up or not!). I think I'll order some from Cotton Babies to try. Do you have just two pairs like it suggests, or did you need more? I'd assume that two pairs would be sufficient with wool pads, unless I end up with heavy leaking issues.

Thanks for this! I was hoping to buy some from AFFF to try after hearing rave reviews, but I didn't really want to stalk for ages to get them.

washed mine but didnt lanolize. I stopped using the with DD real early because we got thrush and I think it was from all the moisture there with them

i actually only have one pair. i bought one to try and have been spending too much on diapers and woolies for the kiddo to earmark funds for me to buy more. LOL. I just wear my hemp ones when i wash the wool ones. you do not lanolize wool nursing pads - you dont want them to repel the moisture, you want them to absorb it! i only wash mine about every two weeks. also fwiw, even though i have a great milk supply (knock on wood), pre nursing i had a smallish chest (B-cup) so i don't think my letdown is super heavy, relatively speaking.
if i were you i would buy a pair of these and a pair of a few other brands as well to see what works for you. then buy more of whatever you like!
