i have short cycles, and just finished my first cycle temping.  would a 12 day LP be considered too short for implantation?  my cycles are anywhere from 24-28 days.  this past cycle was 25 days.

Not at all--12 days is great

I've had spotting for 3 days and am 9 DPO. I originally thought today would be CD1 since there was a little more spotting than the past 2 days, but nope..no full on flow yet. Is this remotely normal?

Thanks for this post..I really wanted to ask but knew spotting had been talked about earlier in the day...I just need some reassurance I guess!

    Some spotting is ok.

I got my positive OPK today (Wondfo). DH doesn't feel like bumping uglies. Is it OK to wait until tomorrow night?

    Edit: Add "uglies"

A + OPK usually means you will O within the next 12-36ish hours.  Can you try for the morning?

I second this also, I am right there with you. I keep thinking about it because its so irregular for me too ( we chatted earlier today on my post) Although I am 12dpo and got a BFN. Its driving me nuts. I want AF to either start so I can start the month over or get my darn BFP! LOL. Im hoping nothing funny is going on though, thats what Im nervous about. Sorry Im no help. Everytime I google it it brings up implantation bleeding....who knows

  • How long does an LH surge last? I am just surprised because I am at CD 20 right now and can't believe I ovulate so late in my cycle. Normally I have a 31 day cycle.

A few hours--which is why testing more than once a day is advised.

What about a 10-day LP? Mine keep changing, but that's how long my last cycle's was. I've read some places that 10 is ok, and in others that it's too short.

10 days is within normal range.  If you recently came off of BC it could take a few months (if not a year) to regulate cycles...

  • Okay I have one. I haven't seen it discussed a lot on here unless I passed it while lurking. I know saliva kills sperm so it is advised that there's no "below the belt kissing" close to ovulation. Personally, I enjoy this! haha! So how soon before O should you avoid oral sex? Only when you have your positive OPK or should you avoid it a week or so before predicted ovulation until your LH surge is gone? Thanks KDG!

I think I'd avoid it from +OPK to confirmed O.....but truthfully, I have no idea.

    Ok, for real.

Four months ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis.  Does anyone have any experiences or recommendations for dealing with endo that might help me?  Is there anything I can do to lessen the symptoms etc?

    1ht

    TTGP grad with endometriosis here.

Have you recently had a laparoscopy? That is only thing that truly helped my symptoms. Granted, the relief only last for a year but it was awesome for the time being. Also, birth control can help keep things at bay but when you are TTC that obviously isn't something you can do.

When my symptoms would get really bad I would take a couple ibuprofen and use a heating pad to help ease some of the discomfort. There isn't really too much you can do unfortunately. I have heard of evening primrose but never dug in deeper about it.

If you have not had the laparoscopy, though, I highly recommend you speak with your OB about it if your symptoms are that uncomfortable. I was actually going to request to have another but then I became PG and, obviously, wasn't an option.

Thank you!  Yes, I have had 4 laps.  Most recent in November.  I had to have an endometrioma removed and the Dr. found that one ovary was completely adhered to my abdominal wall with scar tissue and the other was adhered to my intestines with bands of scar tissue.  She also removed the spots of endo she found.  I have been feeling wonderful since healing from that, but the past two weeks have been having a lot of cramping pain and some pain on my left side.  It's not quite been 5 months since surgery, so I really hope it's not already coming back.

How long did you TTC before getting PG?  TIA!

Pomegranate juice. It's said to help thicken the uterine lining, making it a better environment for implantation.  Green tea is supposed to help increase CM.  Read the New to TTGP link at the top of the board.  There's a lot of good info on there. GL!

It took us 10 months to get PG but I wasn't charting the entire time.

The positive thing is that once you do become PG then your symptoms may disappear so you get 9 months of relief!  Unfortunately, it feels like mine came back a vengeance since I had my DS. Too bad they could just remove it all when they had me open for my c-section! A 2for1 would have been awesome, lol

Ok -this is my first cycle temping and pinpointed O so how  can I estimate when AF should come? I'm not sure my LP and I just came off the BC patch in November so now cycle has been the same. Is there anyway to predict when to expect O this cycle or no since I dont know my LP?

I'd go off how long your longest cycle has been since you got off BC.  Hopefully, you'll start to see a pattern with when you O and how long your LP.

Sometimes you can tell by your temp pattern if/when your period is coming.  However, it may not be that way for your quite yet since you just got off BC.  For example if you look at most of my charts you'll see my temps start to fall a few days before my period comes.
