Grilled chicken sandwich with french fries, spinach, grapes, and chocolate chip cookies. I woke up in labor and went fast so I hadn't eaten since the night before. And the cafe at the hospital was fab.
I had a grilled cheese & a baked potato. I know I ordered a salad too, but I gave that to DH. I feel like I ate something else, but I don't remember.
I was like a zombie though. I had been in labor for 2 days and pushed for 2.5 hours before LO was born so by the time family visited, and my food came, I was TIRED.

I had a 34 hour induction, so I was pretty hungry after I had D. I talked about eating throughout my whole induction. It was a big joke. Anyway, after I had D, my dad found a cafe open and got me a turkey sandwich with french fries. Turns out I didn't have much of an appetite.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...
It was like Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce roll. The whole works. I'm sure it would not have been tasty to anyone else, but to me, it was the most delicious meal I had ever eaten. Partially because i hadn't eaten in a LONG time, and partially because it was the first time in like, 8 months that I hadn't bee nauseous!
I had a turkey sandwich from the cafe in the hospital. I was a tard and thought I wasn't supposed to eat before going in to be induced and I was starving by the time I got into my room and settled.
I had Abby at 7:23 p.m. and wasn't told I could eat until 10:30 or so. By that time, the cafeteria was closed, so all I got was a bagel with peanut butter. I was SO DISAPPOINTED. I hear all these things about the first meal after delivery and I was set for something that would be really, really good as a reward for a job well done.
I delivered Hunter as the hospital was literally closing their doors. About 4 hours after I delivered we were transferred by ambulance to the brand-spankin' new hospital across town... so, my first meal was a crappy boxed meal they had provided to the staff since the cafeteria was already gone... a crappy turkey sandwich and a little bag of potato chips.
This was of course at 4 in the morning because my labor was 18 hours long. Fun shiz. I couldn't wait to eat. I would have eaten anything they put in front of me.
I don't even remember what it was. Whatever they delivered to my room. I just remember shoveling the food in my mouth as fast as I could because I had never been so hungry. I was in labor with DD for three days and only had two pieces of toast.
My mom went out to Lib's supper club and got me filet mignon. Their steak is to die for. Yuuummmmmm! This is after my doc told me that my hemogloben were so low she was putting me on a diet of high iron, spinach, steak, etc. Oh gee darn!
Mine was actually hospital food but it was really good. Hamburger, french fries, salad, and ice cream. My sisters also brought donuts so I think I had at least 3 chocolate long johns.
I think I barely ate some breakfast food from the cafeteria. My taste buds and appetite were so out of whack though, I didn't want to eat anything. I remember the bacon being good though.
Sometimes it's okay to follow. (Picture is a clicky)
I had him at 11:47p and didn't get into my pp room until around 2a so everything was pretty much closed. I had a turkey sandwich from the vending machine and a piece of cake from the vending machine. Both were soooo good. Our hospital's food was amazing.
I had apple juice and I puked it all up, so they wouldn't let me eat for another 12 hours! It sucks mega time. Then I made H go get me a Jack Daniels burger from Fridays! YUM!

I honestly can't remember. Whatever the hospital gave me. I kind of think it was turkey and dressing and green beans, but I wouldn't put money on it.
My first non-hospital meal was fried shrimp, cole slaw, and apple sauce. DH started frying shrimp as soon as we got home from the hospital. I was all freaked out about having a baby in the house and he was frying shrimp. It made me really mad for some reason--but it was super tasty.
First, I ate a power bar immediately because I was starving.
Then the hospital cafeteria brought me breakfast. I don't even remember what it was now!!
I DO remember the next day though having a delicious lunch from Braum's brought to me courtesy of my parents and some Sonic french toast sticks for breakfast that morning.

I had a liquid tray. I was throwing up from places I didn't know existed because of back labor and after my c/s they were afraid I would tear my incision. Once I proved to them that I wasn't going to I had soup and pasta salad and about 10 other things because I hadn't eaten since Thursday night (this was Saturday evening).
I labored for like 12 hours, with 0 sleep for 2 days prior. So I have completed exhausted after my 1.5 hours of pushing. FIL brought me Sonic (the only thing really open at 10pm close to the hospital) and I attempted to eat my burger. But literally passed out for 1+ hours and then when I got up "refreshed" I finished by burger, tater tots and Cherry Limeade. It was Fabulous. Even cold!!!

Taco Bell.
Like $20 worth of Taco Bell.
Because for 3 days they starved me on ice chips.
Ugh! Sorry for the multiple post, but the bump got all spastic on me.
Liquid diet. I got chicken broth and a lemon Italian Ice.
Both times I went straight for dessert... #1 Coconut cream pie, #2 Chocolate mousse pie.
I was so hungry, but I had no stomach for pork chops and green beans.
Bad hospital food is what made me send DH for pizza - why oh why must it be so awful? Hadn't we been thru enough??????

Nope. All I got was a bagel.
A cold turkey sandwich, some crackers, and juice.
AND IT WAS AMAZING.

With DS1, my friends brought a Lou Malnati's pizza and champagne to the hospital. It was heavenly.
With DS2, I ordered an egg salad sandwich from the hospital cafeteria. It was also heavenly because I was starving.
