Has anyone ever tried/bought a fetal heart rate doppler? After doing A LOT of searching and comparing, I thought this one looked decent, plus with the overnight shpping and an extra bottle of gel, the price wasn't bad.

7 yrs ago I had bought a fetal heart monitor from a local chain store, but I feel like those are not as reliable/more like a toy, and static-y.
This will be my third child. I felt my first child move at 3 months, my second child at 4 months, and this one at 13 weeks. I basically want the doppler for peace of mind for when you don't feel any movement, even though it's still early to be feeling any movement.
Thanks in advance ![]()

Same here. I, too have the Sonoline B (3mHz). It was only about $60, though, and came with a small thing of gel. I think it was $58, with shipping, from Crucial Med. You can really use any water based lubricant with it, and many find that Aloe Vera Gel works well as a substitute for sono gel. It's easy to use and easy to find the h/b, unless he's being uncooperative, which sometimes he is, the little bugger!
I do get static on it, though not as much now that I'm better at using it. It's also not as good as my doctor's, which is to be expected as hers is much better quality and costs $800. However, the Sonoline B tends to get much better reviews than the other major brands of cheap dopplers.
Thanks! I saw the Sonoline B as well, looked like a good one too. I'm a little aggravated because I paid for over night shipping, so I'm expecting it to be here today, but I got an email this morning saying that USPS was notified today that the pkg was ready for shipment. I guess that I'll wait and check the tracking # a few more times before I call the company and see what's going on...
I guess that I'm just nervous with this pregnancy. It will be my third child, but it's my 11th pregnancy (8 miscarriages)...I've recently been slowly coming off of bedrest since I've had spotting since I found out I was pg, and then around 10 weeks I had a bleed behind the placenta, which thank God healed up in about 2 weeks...
So hurry up Mr. Mailman, I want my doppler ASAP! LOL
I should have specified I did pay a bit more for mine because I ordered the 2mhz probe to help with the anterior placenta, but I've heard good things with either probe with this model.
