I saw that you have to put some sort of board under the mattress for it to sit flat on... what did you use? I don't want to use anything too big that will raise the mattress. Thanks!!
Also, did you use it in your bassinett/pack in play when your baby was a newborn sleeping next to you or just in their crib?
Edit: do you use a board that takes up the entire crib or just a small board a little bigger then sensor?

My husband measured our crib and cut a thin piece of board to fit under the entire mattress. It did not raise the bed. We did not use it in the pack and play when she was in our room.
We went to home depot and had a piece of plywood cut to fit between the bedskirt and crib mattress. I think its 1/4 inch thick...I think, The instructions tell you and it doesn't raise the mattress.
I put DS in the crib from day 1, so thats the only place I used it.
