I can't stand breastfeeding tickers, especially the ones where the baby has been nursing since birth. You have an EBF badge and a baby's age ticker, I can figure out the rest. I just think it's braggy. But that's probably because I'm bitter about not BFing, but whatever.

Happy Birthday!!

My FFC: I JUST recently cleaned my baby's infant tub for the first time (Eeeep I know!) - it was way dirtier than I expected an infant tub could be!! I will defs be cleaning it more often!!

Me too. ( But I do find them a bit braggy. And I would never put the "Proud Formula Feeder" badge on mine... because I'm not exactly proud of it, per se.

They're assh0les and I think there's a special circle of heIl reserved for them, but free speech is for everyone. I would pay good money to see them get the everlivingshiit kicked out of them. They're extremists, they're unoriginal, there have been plenty of wackos like them before and there will be more.

I agree with you. This is a hard one for me, because DH is in the Army and a very good friend of ours (and former co-worker of DH's) was killed in Afghanistan last summer. We went to his funeral, and those Westoboro fvckers were there protesting. It broke my heart for the family to have to see "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" while they were mourning their son, brother and husband. Thankfully the Patriot Guard was there, and they did a great job of blocking the protesters and drowning out the sound of their hateful comments.

As angry as that scene made me, and as much as I wanted to put my foot up Fred Phelps' ass, I believe in free speech, and we can't have it both ways (i.e "I believe in free speech as long as I like what you're saying"). All I can hope for is that some day in the hopefully not too distant future they're going to have to answer to God for all the pain and suffering they have caused.

I'm so sorry that you and your friends loved ones had to experience that :-( 2 of my brothers and my father served and it breaks my heart that fallen soldiers are their target. But like you said, we can't have it both ways. I do hope that citizens and other service men and women continue to step up and block them as much as they are able to- it's awesome that there are caring, supportive people out there to try show the families that they are NOT representative of the thoughts of the majority in this country. They are a very, very, small, hateful minority.

My confession is that I wonder if the caffeine I am drinking (just 2 diet sodas a day) is affecting LO - and I really truly can't imagine giving it up to see. I read on kellymom that it takes a LOT more than what I'm drinking to even count as excessive, and that LO only gets .0001 of what I drink, but I STILL feel guilty that I'm not even trying to cut it out just to see if she sleeps better.

If it makes you feel better...I have cut it out to see if it makes a difference and it doesn't. She sleeps the same whether I have caffeine or not and I cut it out long term (it was about three weeks). I drink 1-2 sodas a day now and she is starting to sleep better than she ever has. I think it is just as she gets older she sleeps better.

My confession is that I'm totally happy with our decision to FF. I'd have the "proud FFer" badge in my signature if badges in general didn't annoy me (another confession/uo).
