  • My DS was 17 lbs at his 6 month appointment.

  • DD was 14 lbs 9oz and 25 inches.  25 percentile for both.

    That must be ridiculously large for a girl. DS at his 6 month was 22 lbs, 8 oz and 28.5 inches, which was 97% (for a boy!) for both. He had a head start since he was over 10 lbs and over 21 inches at birth. Some babies are just big.

    I wouldn't say ridiculously large....yes, she is big but she is poportioned as well. She packs one hell of a backache, but I love her to much to even really care about that. 

    Sorry if you took offense. As I said, some babies are just big and knowing DS was 97% at 22 lbs, 8 oz and 28.5 in and that girls are typically smaller, I can only imagine that your daughter is in a different percentile being heavier and shorter. That has nothing to do with love for your child obviously!
